Frankly speaking, I was a bit surprised that most of you prefer the alma..it is such a beautiful and classic bag and I am hoping at some point to buy one but in a different color than black, perhaps in dune? Oh, how I wish I could see all 3 together but that is impossible since there is no Givenchy store where I live...such a difficult decision.
I will be buying it in October so I still have some time to think about it

I vote for the Alma too. I think that the votes seem in favour of it because you wanted a classic bag, and the Alma is by far the most classic of the three. It has stood the test of time, and is an LV icon. The other two bags have not been around for nearly as long.

I actually like the Gucci the best. The logo isn't in your face, and it's a very functional and lovely bag.

I vote for the Givenchy hands down.

The Alma, for me, is too small and also too hard and structured for an everyday bag. I need my everyday bag to have at least a little bit of "give." Alma is beautiful for sure, but personally, I would be more likely to take her out at night . . . or to a luncheon . . . or to a funeral. LOL. She's too prim to be my everyday ride-or-die companion.

You'd be surprised how the structured Alma can add lady-like sophistication to your casual everyday looks. It's like the Lady Dior. I've seen so many girls now wear the Lady Dior (using the shoulder strap) with jeans and a cute blouse and it looks absolutely awesome on them.
