Hi ladies,

I am looking for an every day, classic black bag and I am in between these three:
1. Louis Vuitton Alma PM in black epi leather

2. Givenchy Antigona in small

3. Gucci Signature leather top handle bag

In terms of looks, i like the Givenchy; i find the Alma too "serious" and perhaps for older ages and lastly the Gucci may be too casual and i am also not crazy for the so visible branding...
What do you think? Any pros and cons?

I would pick the Louis Vuitton Alma. My second choice would be the Givenchy bag. I think the Alma is the most classic bag because it has been around for a long time; however, I think the Givenchy bag is probably easier to use. Both of these bags are beautiful. I own none of these bags, so this comment is just my opinion. I think you love the Givenchy bag the most based on your comments about how you see the different bags. Happy shopping!

I have the anitgona in small and I love it. I too considered the LV Alma but went with the Antigona. It's roomy and still a nice structured shape. Happy shopping and let us know what you decide!

Frankly speaking, I was a bit surprised that most of you prefer the alma..it is such a beautiful and classic bag and I am hoping at some point to buy one but in a different color than black, perhaps in dune? Oh, how I wish I could see all 3 together but that is impossible since there is no Givenchy store where I live...such a difficult decision.
I will be buying it in October so I still have some time to think about it :)

Of those three, I would get the Givenchy. It has an interesting enough shape to catch the eye, even in a neutral color. Number two perhaps the Gucci, but I hesitate a bit on the obvious branding, in case I go somewhere where I need to be more inconspicuous. The alma is nice, but IMO a bit boring in black.

I actually second the poster who mentioned the Fendi. They have the black petite and medium 2jours on several department store sites. I just got a petite 2jours and I LOVE it. I was debating between the Antigona and 2jours and ended up with the 2jours.
