Ever Remove the Shoulder Rest from your Shoulder Strap?

I like how it looks on the strap, but every one on every style slides off and zi push them either to the back or front never thinking that I actually could get rid of it fully 🤷‍♀️ …like the look but hate the function because it does the opposite. On the First and city, only if you are carrying bricks it could be heavy on your shoulder, those are small bags ….work has no strap anyway, so there you go, no need for those

Oh, so they can be removed completely?! I had no idea, and no guts to try it. I sometimes push it to one end but indeed, I don’t like the look of them all squeezed to one end of the strap. So, I carry my City and First mostly on my arm.
But I will try to remove it now, that I know it can be removed.

Thank you for the advice here!! 😚 💐 🌺

I tried to remove the shoulder rest from the strap of one of my Bal bags and there is no way that the bale would make its way through the cut of that shoulder pad. It’s just too big for the tiny cut…
How did you remove it, if you don’t mind?

It doesn’t slide through easily, but needs a good bit of determination. It will work best if you work it through at an angle so that one of the curves is pressed through first rather than trying to get it through both curves at once. Hope that helps. 🤞🏻

You have to force it, I squeeze the sides of the strap together to narrow it, then angle the bale to get one side under the piece of leather on the weight distributor.

Ah, I got it now. Diagonally should work, even though difficult.

I have a small drawer where I keep the extra tassels and the tags and some of the mirrors I don’t wear, so there will also go the weight distributors. Thank you so mut for your help!! 😚

P.S. We really need to meet IRL to get to at least know each other a bit, Bal sisters 😉
And I mean this for all my Bal sisters from here. I wanted so badly to meet with. CeeJay as she was living kinda close to me, but life happens and I never found the time to even ask her… until it didn’t happen anymore 😓
