I used to find jewelry around my schools when I was in k-12, but nothing of value, mainly just stuff that I'd find in the hallways or left on a sink when school was over.

When I was in elementary school I went to visit my grandparents for Christmas, and my grandma gave me a small purple pendant, which I put on right away. It snows a lot there, so within the next day or so, my grandpa took my sister & I out to the town beach/tennis courts to play in the snow. When we got home, I realized me new necklace was missing. We tried looking for it the next day, but with 4+ feet of snow, it was impossible to find, and I was so upset. For months my grandfather looked for it, and as soon as he was about to give up around May or so he found it on the tennis courts off to the side! I was shocked that it had survived the whole winter, and that he was even able to find it considering all of the places we'd gone that day, plus all the snow they had (and had gotten later on in the winter also!) :smile1:

I find it sad that you got no thank you. You could have just pocketed it and no instead you bring it too the police and yet no thank you from the owners :(.
When my dog ran away I was terrified he got run over by a car or something. But no he had tried to go home but was too tired and had just gone in somebody's garden and fallen asleep lol. We find this story pretty funny now. Anyway they called the police who called me and I ran over there to get him. i spent 10 mn frantically thanking them and later sent them flowers etc.
Once i found a dog in the street. He was by himself and a little medal around his neck. As i didnt have my phone on me i had to walk bended over for 15 mn as he wasnt big and I was holding his collar. then i brought him home and called the owner who just said a quick "thanks" to me and rushed away with the dog. Ok...
But anyway my dogs are much more precious than my jewelry:hugs::hugs:
Sorry for the OT:shame:
