I agree, Martha Louise is likely making a huge mistake. The fellow she's marrying, his own mother says he's brainwashed her. Her (self-proclaimed) "clairvoyance" is letting her down big time.
I guess her parents and brother have given up on her and are just standing back and letting her do as she wants so they don't have to deal with her.

I feel for the daughters too. Their father committed suicide on Christmas Day a few years ago. Absolutely horrible situation. They don't need to be put through this, their mother essentially marrying a grifter. I hope they are old enough to set boundaries, keep their distance, and lean on their grandparents.
I remember it. While M-L and Durek were posing happily in front of the Christmas church with the girls in front of photographers, he was ending his life. I can't help thinking that was the last straw for him. I don't think Durek looks very much in love. The relationship comes with additional challenges with him being HIV positive, bisexual and with an already failing donated kidney (possibly because of the HIV).
The wedding has already turned into a klassy event... Here's some of their outfits so far...
