Europe vs. US pricing and benefits of buying in Europe

^^ It has not been my experience when shipping from Europe that I've ever had to deal with the declaration form. I get the box containing my purchases from the seller and the duty bill follows from the shipper, whether DHL, FedEx or UPS.

In my case, Hermes has always been using FEDEX and this was the procedure. I don't know if you are talking about a private seller? But I can assure you that all my shipments coming from FRANCE, are stuck in New Jersey until the declaration form for clearance is provided to them.
If you monitor your package with tracking #, you can contact them via phone and send it immediately and it is usually cleared the same day.
This form asks you about the box content, and will establish the pct of duties in USD that buyer needs to be paid. All the forms sent by Hermes are in EURO.

Interesting! PERHAPS it's due to final destination but all my packages are flagged for clearance delay in New Jersey. We have always used Fedex Intl priority. How about you?

:)
