Etiquette questions re: new to Hermès and pandemic issues

Good morning all, I've been away from TPF for a long time, and am somewhat new to the idea of dipping a toe into the Hermès pool. I've got a few questions I'm hoping some seasoned folks can point me in the right direction on.

For a little context, I've been interested in Hermès for some time, but was not in a position to purchase most of the things I'm interested in. Over the last few years as I've gotten further along in my career, that has changed.

I've done quite a bit of reading about how establishing with Hermès works. I'm not particularly interested in a B (not a fan of K's) anytime soon. Maybe in a few years, but I'm definitely not Birkin crazy or looking to get offered one in the near future. Right now, I'm primarily interested in a couple of specific bags--a Garden Party, possibly a Lindy; as well as jewelry, scarves, shoes, and SLG's.

I have a local boutique that opened right before the pandemic, and I didn't get the opportunity to go before COVID became a huge problem. I'm not a huge fan of buying online, and a lot of things I'm interested in don't seem to be available online anyway.

I've been patiently waiting for COVID to let up so I can go, but I'm getting tired of waiting. Without going into too much backstory, I have some health issues that put me at higher risk for severe COVID, and although I'm vaccinated I'm not going anywhere at the moment unless I really have to (I'm in a hotspot).

Is there any reasonable way for me to establish with an SA virtually (phone or email) or would this be considered improper or ill advised? I have the names of a couple of SA's but it feels kind of akin to cold calling, and I'd like to get off on the right foot.

Any thoughts/advice would be much appreciated!

I think you can reach out to the names of the SA's that you have either by phone/text/email
& introduce yourself & share what you are interested in. Be patient.. some SA's don't return
calls right away but don't be discouraged..
If you are unable to get into the store because of your health issues, I would be inclined
to look at the categories you are interested in at H.com
Many seasoned H lovers shop that way...there is a pretty good selection of scarves on H.com

It really depends on the store. Most store won’t phone order or send anything unless you have established your profile with in person process.

Health is much more important than H and would not risk my health if i was in your position
