I agree - I think Epi is definitely more structured than a truly rigid leather. Imho it's quite supple and pliant.I prefer the word "structured" as opposed to "stiff."

I like how structured it is, however i dont like how much coating it has its almost like the canvases. but it is weather proof. I have been considering either a sac plat or a noe (but it seems from the website, extension straps for the noe are no longer sold) as i would use it as a messenger.
I love how its structured, and also the fact that once I got caught out in a heavy storm with such strong rain like I have never seen before. Amazingly the drops of rain were just rolling off my epi soufflot, and then I just gave it a wipe down when I got home. No marks, still in perfect condition.

Just bought my first Epi piece a few days ago and I'm in love! Can't wait to acquire more stuff form the Epi line.
First, thank you all for your replies! I am thinking of the epi speedy 30 or 35 as a large travelling tote. Many PF members have said that the epi speedy 25 opening is small, and they scratch their hand on the zipper getting in and out due to the 'structure' or 'stiffness'. Hopefully the larger size would eliminate this problem. I don't really like the sag in the larger canvas bags, which would not be a problem in the epi leather I suppose!
