Mine has always been too large. I didn't want (and still don't) to have it resized so I bought a matching white gold band. Now the band is also too large. I've never heard of sizing beads ... is it something you can add or the ring just comes with them?

Mine didn't come with them, my jeweler added them on for me. :smile1:

last year my aunt gave me her gorgeous wedding ring when she and my uncle upgraded to her gorgeous 7 carat diamond "ice cube." since it was completely trashed i had to take it to my jeweler to replace several stones (rubies & diamonds) and rebuild the gold, so when i inquired about sizing it down, but he suggeseted because the way the ring is designed, it would really affect the overall design if it was signed it down. since it's a size 8.5 and i wear a size 7, it's huge on me. so what i do is just wear one of my stacks on the outside of it so it doesn't fall off. i actually like how it looks together anyway so for me, it works perfectly.

my e-ring is also platinum, so can you use the sizing beads with platinum as well, or just gold?

Thin rings seem to fit larger than wider ones, so that is part of the issue. But like others have said, I am most comfortable having my ring fit when my hands are warm, too. If a ring gets sized smaller, it can give a sausage effect to the finger if the hands are swollen. Sizing beads can help, as can another ring to hold the first one in place. My e-ring is sized smaller than my anniversary band, but the anniversary band feels tighter because it is wider.
