Hi everyone!
I was hoping to get some insight about how the engagement ring resizing process went for you.
I dropped off my ring 2 weeks ago and was told that it would be back by 2/15. However, when I called them today, they said that it is still "pending".
Is it normal for Tiffany to go beyond the promised by date? Can anyone share your experiences please?
Thank you!

Hi! I’ve had some items resized during the past year, and was also quoted 2 weeks. If I remember correctly, they didn’t start working on the items until after the 2 week period—maybe about 2-3 weeks after I dropped the items off in store? (I got an email notification for billing at that point I think.). But after that notification it went quickly and I got a shipment notification within a few days after.

I hope you get an update on your items soon!

By the way, when you pick up your ring, I would suggest also checking the engraving inside the band. Make sure it's not worn off/faded due to the resizing. I resized my engagement and did not think to check the engraving inside. I noticed it a few weeks later, that the engraving was worn/very faded. I told myself it was ok. I wore the ring for a few more weeks. Then I told myself, no, it is not ok. Eventually, it will get more faded, and then Tiffany will say it is due to normal wear and charge me to re-engrave it. What I mean by the engraving is the Tiffany on one side the the carat weight info on the other side.

So, I took it back in and had them redo it to make it more prominent. They did it at no charge (the resizing was free too of course), and it looks great. When I took my husband's wedding band to get it resized, I told them up front to check the engraving and redo it if needed, which they did so I did not have to send it back in (also free of charge). This is because we had our wedding bands engraved with a personal inscription inside and the words wrapped almost all the way around the band.

I hope that makes sense and wanted to share my experience.

Oh wow! I would not think to pay attention to that but I'd be unhappy if the engraving was not as prominent anymore .. thank you so much for letting me know! If the engraving is less prominent, I'd have to wait another 2 weeks to send it back and redo it ... Such a pain

I forgot to answer your original question. If it makes you feel any better, I think mine took like 4-5 weeks, and it was done pre-COVID times!

I had resized two engagement rings and a few other platinum rings. They took 2 to 2.5 weeks. They could have a delay due to Covid. I hope it is ready soon so you can enjoy your ring.

That's pretty quick! I was hoping to get mine back within the same time frame (1 week) but it's been 2 weeks so far . Did you get another ring box when the ring was returned to you?
No I didn’t. I tried it on to make sure the size was right before leaving the store and ended up just wearing it out.i believe you only get one box per ring.

Customer service does not give out engagement ring boxes, but if you have a nice SA, you can get another one. Did you already lose your box? It's really not a big deal as I don't ever put my Tiffany pieces in the box or pouch. I just use a jewelry box.

Speaking of pouches, same thing if yours gets dirty and you want another one. As your SA. Your SA is the person whom you have a relationship with and will give you these things, not Customer Service.

I didn't lose it but wanted another box to have one monogrammed and keep one original
