Sobbing Emma Roberts clings to Evan Peters as details emerge of their 'extreme' relationship in wake of domestic violence arrest

New pictures have emerged showing Emma Roberts clinging to her boyfriend Evan Peters as news broke of her arrest for domestic violence.Tears running down her face, Emma appears visibly distressed as she is consoled by Peters, who is standing by her.Taken on Tuesday, the pictures emerged as new revelations were made about the 'extreme' nature of the couple's 'passionate' romance.

'Emma is very dramatic,' one source told Us Weekly of the We're The Millers actress, adding that she tends to get 'wound up' during arguments.

'They will not break up,' the source added. 'When they are good, they are crazy in love.'
And a second source explained: 'Their romance is pretty extreme. They just behave in a way that's very passionate.'

Emma, 22, was taken into custody on July 7 in Montreal after getting into a fight with her beau that left him with injuries including a bloody nose and a bite mark.

The two, who have been together since spring 2012, were said to be hitting each other when police responded to a report of a disturbance. Emma was arrested because Evan had obvious physical injuries, a source told TMZ.

The couple, who are currently filming season three of American Horror Story in New Orleans, will be sticking together. And they couldn't have made that clearer as they clung together on Tuesday.Emma was spotted leaning her head on her boyfriend's shoulder as her tenderly held and kissed her.At one point Emma held her hand to her head as she tearfully talked to him.

The Aquamarine star, who wore skinny jeans and a black-and-white T-shirt, even collapsed against Evan's body, her head nestled against his chest as he pulled her close.

And it appears that Evans may not have been the only victim of the disturbance. For Emma appeared to have some battle wounds of her own as the star was seen with bruises on her legs on Friday, five days after the arrest.

The niece of Julia Roberts has kept mum on her arrest and avoided the topic on her Twitter page, but her representative has issued a statement on the matter.

'It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding,' her representative has told Entertainment Tonight.

'Ms Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it, ' the statement added.

Ugh, he needs to leave her, and she needs to spend some time alone to fix herself. Those crying pics are just indicative of another problem. He's probably going to try to stay with her and 'fix her', until the violence happens again.

I read one article, with a 'source' describing their relationship as.."very passionate." Like really? Theyre both young, let it go and start anew, before it becomes more toxic.

Not that I condone either of their behavior, but I do somewhat feel bad for her, and him I guess. This is what you call young, stupid, passionate, and irrational love. Probably the first time they have both been in love. Everything is too dramatic and intense.

Hopefully she will learn something when they move on from each other... because eventually they will. Just my two cents.

...entitlement?

is she even talented? i mean im not mad that she's famous just bc of her aunt but she needs to thank God every day her aunt is Julia..otherwise no one would care

She seems to be lacking a little self-awareness in that department:
Most people don't have a movie star aunt.

Emma Roberts does, but the 20-year-old actress says it's her own talent -- not her relationship to Julia Roberts -- that fuels her success in Hollywood.

"A lot of people think that, and they talk about nepotism which I think is so ridiculous considering it's obviously not true; because I've auditioned for so many things and never gotten the part," she tells PopEater. "Also it's like, you know, maybe someone can get you one part, but they can't really get you ten parts."

The Art of Getting By star and her Oscar-winning aunt both had roles in in the 2010 film Valentine's Day; so does Emma ever want to do a film with Julia again? "I would love to!" she says. "I think it would be really fun for us."

But despite her famous lineage, Roberts doesn't feel any pressure to compete with her famous aunt. "I'm just doing my own thing," she told Us Weekly in March. "I don't really compare it to what my aunt does, but I do admire her and love all her movies."

Supposedly, she was crying bc of a missed/cancelled flight. (She posted some tweet about it.)

Emma Roberts shows off some skin on the cover of Nylon magazine‘s Denim Issue for August 2013, on newsstands July 30.

Here is what the 22-year-old actress had to share with the mag:

On her relationship with boyfriend Evan Peters: “We first met at a dinner party, and then we worked together on a movie [Adult World], which we did not date during. We didn’t get along, actually – he wouldn’t speak to me. But it turned out that we both liked each other, so months later, we started dating, which worked out for the best.”

On her mostly good-girl image: “I can’t say I’m never going to mess up, but if I do, I’ll definitely be very sorry.”

On her housekeeping skills: “People come over and go, ‘Oh! Did you just move in?’ My stuff is a mess. I had someone decorate my house and it went very wrong, to the say the least. Now, it’s kind of half of what they did and half of me trying to fix it. And clothes everywhere. I am not neat.

what's so passionate about punching someone? wtf? that's just called stupid. that sounds like what victims of dv say....

Exactly. When Chris Brown punched Rihanna, it was a massive scandal (and rightly so) because it was domestic abuse. I find it so annoying that just because in this case, the abuser is a girl that it gets described as "being passionate" rather than abuse. If it was the boyfriend hitting her, there would be outrage. Just because she's a girl doesn't make it excusable. So many men these days are victims of domestic abuse and can't come forward as they are afraid of being told to suck it up and that their girlfriend / wife is just being "passionate".

I hope her boyfriend gets some counselling to get the courage to leave her, he's the victim here.

I agree, to me, there's a big difference between 'passion' and 'violence'. He looks like such a sweet guy, who just tries to help her, but he needs to protect himself.

I dont want to jump to conclusions too quickly, as we dont know all the details, but this I completely agree with!

Again, I said I didn't condone their behavior...

I guess the word "passionate" didn't sit with some people well. Passion can be a negative or positive emotion/energy. But I agree, her being a female doesn't make it not domestic violence.

And I also agree with her being boring facially... nothing really stands out about her.
