All of a sudden, for the past month or two, about once a week I'll get an email from Coach saying:

Get Back in the Know
You used to receive Coach emails at this address, but now you're missing...

Then it asks me to click a link to stay active. Which I've done every. single. time.

It's no big deal but it's really annoying and I don't think I've gotten any emails from them except these in quite awhile. Normally I wouldn't complain about not getting advertising emails but I actually want these.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Coach's e-mail system must be messed up. Every time I buy something, they ask for my e-mail address even though I gave it to them the previous time. This happens at the outlet and at FP. It's like my e-mail address never gets saved to their database. Naturally, I never get any Coach e-mails.

I have only received those types of emails once or twice, but what is annoying is that even though I say yes to receiving email every time I buy online and the store always resets me to yes, they keep reverting me to not receiving emails. Which means I don't get PCEs of course.

In fact I went in a FP store yesterday to see the Georgie in person. The SA I have worked with way back when I used to buy there said she would check for my invite. There wasn't one and then she said she noticed I was opted out for email/mail. I told her that I say yes everytime I buy online, get the Welcome to Coach email, and then that is it. And that the times I do shop in a store, they revert me to yes, but yet I still am listed as not receiving, and then don't get PCEs. I told her that it must be frustrating for them as there are other ways to buy Coach bags, and that people that know there are discounts they aren't receiving are going to buy where and when they can get a discount. She fully agreed and felt bad that this was happening to me all of the time. And probably bummed for herself as she could have had a sale.

I think for the past month or so, I got this email 3 times to get back in the know. So then every single time, I enter my email address. I think I have gotten every PCE in the past. So I really hope this isn't a sign that they won't be sending me anymore PCE's.

This is obviously a major, major IT issue, with anyone who opts out of Coach emails getting permanently opted out even if they reset their preferences. I would guess Coach is aware of the issue, but fixing it would cost more in the short-term than the income generated from those emails. *shrugs* I dunno, from the outside it just really looks as if Coach is TRYING to run itself into the ground.

I had problems with Coach keeping my email when I used my gmail address. I switched to giving them a hotmail address and now I don't have any problems. Even when I give my gmail address in the store when I make a purchase, I still get the shipping confirmation in the hotmail address.

My email also is changed to someone else's gmail, and since I don't have a gmail account and the name is not even close I know it's on their end. I've talked to them each time I go to the FP store, and they told me they did a 'problem ticket' on it, but since it's never gotten fixed I've given up :shrugs:

I have the same problem. My SA keeps checking the box that says I want to receive emails but than it gets dropped. She has brought it up to the district manager. They are aware of the issue but don't believe they know how to fix.

Its been going on for awhile now and if there is an email PCE, I don't get it. In the past, it wasn't a big deal but since they are a lot stricter it makes a big difference.

Yes, same here for over 6 months now. There have been sporadic posts regarding this issue here and there on this forum, so I think it's happening to many people.
Signing up again never helps, and consequently I have stopped receiving all email from Coach except for order confirmations.

If Macy's has the bag you want, the friend code is working right now, so you might as well. I bought a bag online there yesterday as that way I didn't have to bother with trying to find a PCE.

Hmmm, glad to know it's not just me. I use Yahoo and haven't ever unsubscribed that I know of. I got the PCE by snail mail. It's obvious (for a lot of reasons) Coach has some marketing issues.
