That TJ Maxx necklace is a great price!You can always have husband hold on to it for a future anniversary or bday gift .DH and I went into Tiffany’s last week he wanted to buy me the Elsa gold open heart.It was tiny!He shocked me when he told me to go ahead & get the yellow gold DBTY but it’ll be combo anniversary gift lol.I just picked it up yesterday it’s gorgeous!!!
Regarding Tiffany’s 18K gold,it is amazing!(They actually use closer to 80% gold vs standard 75%)
I have to caution you,TJ has sold some counterfeit stuff.You can test if it’s real gold by rubbing alcohol on it.(possible heart pendant might not be 14k gold,could be 10k or gold plated)
I bought (I thought) 14k jewerly from Ross (discount store like TJ Maxx)My jeweler told me it was gold plated even though it had that 14k stamp!
If it is real I would definitely keep it!Amazing deal because that heart looks like a substantial size!

I told my husband I could keep the puffer heart (if it turns out is real gold!) as valentines and then also get the DBTY as Mother’s Day but I said if I get it now I’ll keep it a secret since I’m afraid of price increase by May. So he said to get it now then (As Mother’s Day)
Has anyone heard of a price increase soon? I read about Europe but not sure if it recently happened or is coming to USA prices.

Not me now investigating how to test gold jewelry I read about a magnet test. I’ll try the strongest magnet I have on my fridge for this. Now alcohol, idk should I just rub it with it and if it’s real gold it won’t chip or something?

They had a price increase on gold,diamonds and platinum recently,Jan 9th.SA told me SS prices remained the same.
I heard about those methods for testing gold too.Since I’m super paranoid about getting fake jewelry now (also happened with white gold Macys earrings)I go to a local gold pawn shop and have them look it over for me.They tell me straight away if it’s not real.
Yes! It’s anniversary gift.SA had to order from one of their warehouses (everyone was snatching them up at local store for vday)It was nice because I could pick the specs I wanted-color,clarity,Triple E,no Fluorescence etc.
I heard Tiffany accepts minor fluorescence,not sure that’s true though.

Which carat size you got? And how do i know about color clarity etc etc? the one I tried on looked good but just curious bc I could ask to see two of them to select.
