thanks for this thread, lily!!!:hugs:

I've always admired ms. taylor & her gorgeous jewels.

Taylor flashing the enormous Asscher cut 33.19 Krupp Diamond
Another present from Richard Burton, this flawless diamond was according to Elizabeth, "my prize for beating Richard at ping-pong!"
^I'd like this as my e-ring :graucho:

She is an example of one woman who was ALWAYS more beautiful than the jewels she wore. I saw the Cartier in America expo at the De Young in San Francisco this last year and many of her jewels were on display. She had impeccable taste. And on top of that, a wonderful philanthropist and humanitarian.

ITA - she was absolutely gorgeous with a sense of humor and generosity. She never pulled punches - she was real. There will never be another like her. RIP.

Does anyone know if she still has/had this? GORGEOUS!!

Her amazing coral and amethyst (I think they're amethysts) earrings and bracelet from the Van Cleef & Arpels exhibit at the Cooper Hewitt Museum.

My friend and I just went and I kept thinking "I better be a multi multi millionaire by the time these Elizabeth Taylor gems go on the auction block" - yikes! Who knew it'd be a week later!
