My husband does the same thing and he won't wear a watch but I find it inconvenient to pull out my phone when I want to know the time instead of just glancing at the pretty item adorning my wrist!


But this may be more important to me because I am always rushing to catch the commuter train in the mornings and evenings. I am usually lugging a laptop, purse, and lunch bag with me and I don't have any extra hands to pull out my phone - especially when I am wearing gloves. And every second counts in this situation!


But I have always liked wearing a watch, even before I had to take the train to work.

I've just updated the math and the total retail price for my collection is now $2,524 but I've paid $920, that averages out to $115 per watch. That's not bad for new designer, stainless steel watches that are made by Movado and come with a 2 year guarantee.


At least that is the self-serving argument that I tell myself; my DH just shakes his head when I show up with yet another watch!

I know, I was surprised at how much I liked my first BF watch. I thought that it would be big, clumsy, and heavy - but not at all - they are very comfortable! Thanks!

What a wonderful post! It was so much fun to read. I loved your detail in description and all the photos! I just loved seeing all your watches in so many ways, and reading your journey to this new watch! And a beauty, it is-- congratulations. What a beautiful collection of watches you have.
