First, before I show you the item that "broke my ban" here are a couple of small items that I recently bought from the Factory Online Sale on a whim.

I needed at least $26 dollars more to avoid paying shipping charges (I hate shipping charges!) and these looked cute and were $19.50 each so I got 2 of them. I figured that if I didn't care for them I could always return them to the outlet - but I quite like them and immediately decided to keep them. (I have had mixed experiences in buying jewelry off the FOS because sometimes when I see it IRL it is not what I expected.)

I ordered the pave crystal charms for my initials and hung them on a gold chain to make a necklace.

I've noticed that some gold-colored Coach jewelry have a rather brassy color, but these are a nice gold color and go well with the 14 kt. chain.

The style numbers are:
F99747 GD CY BX PAVE K Charm
F99907 GD CY BX PAVE V Charm

The Coach pave crystal charms come nicely boxed (see the seahorse charm at the link below as an example, NMA) so I think that they would make a nice, small gift. They have some on sale for $19.50 on the FOS today.

Next I will show you the ban breaker!

Okay, here we go! As many of you know, I have several Coach obsessions, I love bags, accessories, jewelry, and I love coach watches, especially boyfriend watches.

For years I wore a small, old, plain, cheap gold/silver Anne Klein watch with a flexible metal band and I was content. Then 2 years ago I bought a Coach stainless steel white Andee watch with my PCE and it was all over - I had to have more and more beautiful Coach watches! Now I only wear the old AK watch when I am working around the house or garden!

I quickly acquired 7 coach watches over 1.5 years and I then I went on a self-imposed ban - because that's a lot of watches!

I stuck to the ban for almost 6 months but then I had the chance to buy a new beauty at a great price, so I caved in.

Knowing my penchant for stainless steel Coach Boyfriend watches, would anyone like to take a guess about my newest purchase?

My absolute favorite Coach BF watch has been the ionic-plated stainless steel chocolate chronograph. I love it and wear it the most often.

But for some time I had my eye on a similar watch that would be a contender for the role of "favorite". It was no longer on sale in the Coach boutique stores or the web site or even the FOS - and I never saw it at the outlet - so I figured that I had missed my chance.

I almost bought one NWT on ebay but changed my mind because I wanted to get the 2-year warranty that comes with the watches when you buy them from Coach, Movado, or department stores.

About 2 months ago the watch suddenly showed up on the FOS at a good price but I hesitated (because of the ban) and it sold out quickly and I regretted my indecision. So when it showed up again a few weeks ago I didn't blink - the heck with the ban - I ordered it!

I got the rosegold-plated stainless steel round boyfriend chronograph for $124 (MSRP = $348). I had paid $192 for the chocolate chronograph so this really was a good price.

The style number is W925 A9Q and the size is WMN. The Movado style number for this watch is 14501371.

Isn't it gorgeous?! I will show you a few modeling pics next!

Here are a few modeling pics and I really love this watch. I got it before Memorial Day and I have been wearing it most of the time since then. I am wearing it right now and smiling.

I will show you the new watch with the rest of my collection next!

Here is my extensive collection and the only thing that I can say in my defense is that I never buy watches at retail. I pass them by no matter how much I want them and wait for good sale prices. And if I miss some that's okay. I've bought them from Coach, and the Movado Factory Store, and the FOS. I got one watch on ebay but I try not to do that any more because of the warranty.

I've just updated the math and the total retail price for my collection is now $2,524 but I've paid $920, that averages out to $115 per watch. That's not bad for new designer, stainless steel watches that are made by Movado and come with a 2 year guarantee.

At least that is the self-serving argument that I tell myself; my DH just shakes his head when I show up with yet another watch!

From left to right:
Punch SS Andee BF; Black SS Andee BF; Sig Silver Pave SS BF; Rosegold SS BF Chronograph; Chocolate SS BF Chronograph; Rectangular, Gold-Plated Sig Pave BF; White SS Andee BF; and Navy SS Andee BF

The second pic is a close-up of the 4 all-metal watches, L-R:
Sig Silver Pave SS BF; Rosegold SS BF Chronograph; Chocolate SS BF Chronograph; and Rectangular Gold-Plated Sig Pave BF

I will show a few commercial stock pics of the Rosegold watch next because there is an important discrepancy in the Coach drill-down photo!

The first picture of the rosegold W925 watch is the Coach drill-down photo and it isn't very good. I found the 3 other pics on an Asian site and they are much more accurate.

Notice that in the Coach DD picture it appears that the dial is high-lighted in black but that is not correct. The dial is rosegold and the hands are rosegold high-lighted with white. Maybe it is just the shadows or the photography that makes them look black?

I think that someone who has difficulty reading a watch face would order this watch because of the black detailing and they would be disappointed.

I have no trouble reading any of my Coach watches, but then I am near-sighted so I can see things that are close very well.

The last 3 pictures from the Asian site are a true representation of the details of the actual watch although the real color is a little more pink; somewhere between the colors of the Coach DD and the Asian site pictures.

Gorgeous collection! And I consider a watch kind of like a bracelet….so 7 or 8 or 9 isn't too many!

So how do you adjust the size on these? Do you need a special tool? I got one from FOS and I need to take out some links.

I like your thinking!

I've only needed to remove 1 link from one of the watches, the silver sig stainless steel pave crystal watch. The others fit my chubby wrist quite well!

Take the watch to a boutique Coach retail store. They will probably be able to remove the links for you or they will send it (at no charge) to Movado to have links removed. Tell them to be sure to give/send the extra links back to you! If you ever want to sell it (or give it away) you will want to have the missing links!

I've been told that Movado will also send (or install) extra links when needed.

Make sure to bring a copy of your receipt with you. And if the Coach staff tell you that they don't need the receipt to send it to Movado - insist that they attach the receipt anyway!

I recently went to the Coach store because 2 watches needed new batteries. They were still under warranty so the battery replacement and inspection were free. But Movado tried to charge me because the paperwork didn't include the purchase receipts.

I had to call them, scan the receipts, and email them to Movado's repair shop before they took care of them and shipped them back at no charge.

Congratulations and please show us a picture of your new watch!

I know a lovely woman that has several pair of eyeglasses and she switches them off and on to match her mood and outfit.

She once told me that she used to wear the same pair all the time but then she thought "I change my jewelry all the time as the whim takes me so why not my glasses?!"

She started looking for Lenscrafter's "buy one get one free" sales and began building up a collection of different eyeglass frames.

I feel the same way about my watches - so why not have some style options in watches?!

So true! I treat watches like bracelets. I probably still look at my cellphone for the time out of habit even if I'm wearing my watch.
