Earring Dilemma - Frivole and Lotus

That's possibly the best picture I have seen of the Lotus! They are gorgeous!!! I can't see me wearing them casually, but I definitely want the wg Frivole for that! I am going to repost this picture in the earring thread!

@JewelryLover101 As much as I love this picture of the Lotus earrings, I would say that the VA pave is easier to wear casually. They are definitely a step down from the Lotus in terms of being dressy.

I definitely agree that the VA is probably a bit less formal, but the design has never really "thrilled" me in the same way that the lotus has. I can't justify getting both, so I think I am going to go with the lotus since my heart really is set on them. I don't have any trouble with pave earrings worn casually (both my frivole and some non-designer earrings), so I think I would be able to wear them casually, especially in the cooler months with sweaters.

I totally get it! When you say the Lotus thrills you, that's a definite LOVE! They are so gorgeous and I am sure you'll enjoy having them! I'm just trying to talk myself down from the temptation when I give alternatives!

I get that - if only these were in the hundred of dollars rather than thousands, we'd have them all!!

This is so helpful, thank you! I am glad there is someone else out there who tends to prefer the white gold mirror finish in the Frivole! I would love to buy the non-pave large yellow gold, but I know they won't work for me, so this was my "consolation" prize. And I love them! I agree that I think they look better than the pave version.

Seeing these earrings side by side convinces me that they really are totally different. And I think I can easily justify owning both. I absolutely love the lotus design, but I might be in the minority.

I’ll share my experience. On me, the Frivole sits a lot higher. However, for your Lotus, there are two holes, similar to Alhambra earrings, so you can ask the SA to put them in the lower hole if you want them to sit higher. Mine are in the bottom hole, and they are still lower than Frivole, but it looks fine to me.

As FYI, the Lotus earrings were the tightest fit for me, so I had to have them adjusted twice already, going on three times soon due to VCA goof up. If yours does not fit well, no worries, you can get them adjusted (four ways, which I’m sure you know from your other earrings).

Do you find that the lotus sits further down on your ear? I have noticed in some photos that it appears to sit quite low on some people.

Mine are on the bottom post setting so on my lobes they don’t look too different. I think what I notice is that frivole’s 3D petals looks slightly better. It probably depends on where your piercings are!

Please help!! Should I buy the pave gold frivole earrings? I am looking to up my sparkly earring collection because I have relied on my Tiffany studs for too long, and gave away the others after my breakup. I still have some beautiful earrings (like the onyx vca and gold Cartier) but not sparkly. I am happy to hear any suggestions-I shop at Tiffany, Cartier, and VCA but I am willing to look elsewhere. I just need some help with sparkly earrings- (yellow or rose gold)

Hi, Eliza! To me, no one has as many beautiful pave earring styles as VCA does, so I definitely support buying one of theirs! The Frivole earrings are beautiful in yellow and rose gold, so it is just a matter of which you think you'd wear more with your other jewelry. You might get more replies if you start your own thread, too!
