+1 with charliefarlie. I really like your original. It reminds me of a Harry Winston ring I saw. I also saw a HW in a single halo. I actually prefer that to the double halo. The red halo kinda makes it look like the symbol for Target. Imo

I actually love your original setting bec. the side diamonds are a really nice size, sorry to throw a monkey wrench in there. If I had to choose between the two that you are considering I'd choose the second bec. that double halo with colored stones is unique to me. You don't often see colored stones in a halo, I think that would be fun to look at.

Double halo. But like Benchwarmers said, I love your current setting. Are the side stones half moons?

I would suggest to keep the current setting and get 2 curved band that would frame the center stone (creating a halo effect). I know a jeweler who can help you do that.

Hi ladies!

I can't seem to decide so please help me choose w/c design is nicer/better/has the wow-factor for an e-ring upgrade. My e-ring center stone is a ruby 7x9mm in size. I know the designs are not exactly the same size (center stone) but the jeweler will make it proportional to mine. Thanks in advance. Just choose w/c design (A or B) appeals to you because I can't choose!

Old ring:

To be changed to:

A: Single halo (diamonds) and multi-layer side stones on the band (rubies & diamonds)

B: Double halo (combination of diamonds and rubies) and single layer of diamond stones at the band

Not such a fan of the first one. LOVE the second one.

Second one....but I prefer your original setting over either of the two designs. I am sure the double halo will look nice though!

the stones are just round, not half-moons but i went for the 2nd choice. thank you for the advice!

ladies, just an update: i went for the 2nd choice and i will be getting it in 2 weeks time. will post a photo at e-ring thread when done! appreciate all the great advice and thank you all for the time! lovely how i can rely on fellow tpfers for such great advice!
