Asking for a friend who can’t decide. Would you choose the “E” , vvs1 (.66) or “G” , VS1, (.79)? The price difference for bigger is only $100. She thinks she should go bigger but does admit that she can see the color difference. I’m guessing that is only noticeable when the 2 are next to each other which won’t ever happen after ring is purchased. Thoughts?

gee i doubt with 0.66 vs 0.79 carat calibre, your friend can see the difference in colour may i ask in naked eyes? inclusion indication is just one notch difference too, and again in the carat you mention....you would definitely need a scope to detect....?
at the end of the day its simply what your heart says. good luck to your friend, diamonds are my best friends :) happy shopping!

If she can't see the color and clarity difference when the stones are not right next to each other, go for the larger stone. It's worth the extra $100 for a bigger stone.

Personally I would pick the stone that is more visually appealing. After just recently doing a ton of research on diamonds I ended up getting a smaller better color stone due to it looking more visually appealing. Good Luck!

Agree with Diamondbirdie. I would choose the one with better cut. 1. By Checking cut parameters per diamond spec to make sure they are within the desirable ranges for a well cut princess diamond, 2. By taking a look at the ASET image, if available, (the more reds, the better) for ensuring maximum brightness, and 3. By visually inspecting in person for brightness and sparkles.

If both diamonds are similar in cut, then I would choose the larger diamond. G is white enough in this case.
