Hi there y'all!!
I need your help urgently! I got a medium selma in tulip..it's still brand new and in packaging.
I loved tulip initially but now that the MK sale has the jet set zippered tote in Dusty Rose at a great price, i'm thinking that two pink bags would be quite excessive,and i should sell off the tulip selma???
(I have a navy selma but no jet set tote yet)

So what do you guys think?
I really want the dusty rose as i see it as a more wearable neutral. Do you think theyre both very similar?
Your opinions please??!!

I haven't seen both colours together but on their own. Dusty Rose seems more wearable to me.
You said you already have a Selma but no Jet Set Tote and you seem to like dusty rose more. So i would say return the tulip Selma und get the dusty rose Jet Set instead.

Hello,
I own both colours: tulip and dusty rose and in my opinion, they are not very similar to each other. Tulip is a real rose, not to pinky, just beautiful. Dusty rose is more a light brown, like nougat with rose undertones. A very noble colour, I think, but completely different. I would keep both [emoji4]

Thank you for such a wonderful detailed description!!
So is the dusty rose a very light brown or medium brown? Is it lighter than dark dune? Online pics vary alot in intensity, im surprised to note! People have said that it's way lighter in real life, vs internet images.

This is a hard question to answer. I think dusty rose is slightly lighter than dark dune in shade, but they are different colors, so hard to tell. I did not think dusty rose was "light" by any means when I saw it. It's a medium mauve-brown taupe that is a great neutral that will go with a lot of things. And, if you own a dark dune bag, when you bought it determines the shade. Older dark dune bags, like mine, are a darker shade of the brown-grey taupe than newer dark dune bags, which are lighter.

I know it sounds funny but that description of dusty rose made me think of lipsticks and to me, it translates to a MLBB shade...timeless and always a staple in most wardrobes[emoji7]

Dark dune is gorgeous too , but id say dusty rose sounds wayyy more unique!!

Yes, dusty rose is a very unique color. I almost bought it when I saw it, but it wouldn't go with as much in my wardrobe as dark dune does. If you can, try to take a look at it in person. It's truly a beautiful color. :smile1:

Since im headed to the MK store in just a short while i thought id ask for your input again:)
What colours in a wardrobe would one be able to match dusty rose with???

I was thinking of it almost strictly as a neutral, but now im wondering...

Thought it would be better to do my homework before taking da plunge.

It truly will go with most anything because it's a taupe. My wardrobe has more browns and greys than pinks and mauves, so dark dune is a better all-around neutral for me. But if you wear browns, pinks, peach, greens, and other basic neutrals, it should work well. It's really more of a preference than anything. Some love mauve and others don't.
