When I was in that position I was torn as well. I decided to take another chance on it because I truly love the bag and there wasn't anything else at the time I felt would fit my needs. I was assured if I had another issue I could exchange for a different bag. That was a few months ago and so far no problems. I check the tabs regularly. Is there something else you are currently interested in? If not it may be worth it to take another chance. Or if you are really concerned maybe take a credit and hang onto it until there is something that really catches your eye.

I had this happen to my purse that I bought in April of 2016. They couldn't repair it either and ultimately replaced it with a new one in December 2016. I just noticed last week my "new" purse is coming apart AGAIN! Has your new one held up??
this is happening to my purse as well and it was purchased in December 2016. LV informed me that they have to send pictures to see what can be done. I am hoping they replace my bag as well as I am so bothered that this luxury brand purse is not as durable as I thought it would be.
This is happening to my Duomo too, although the stitching is also coming undone where these pieces are attached to the body of the purse. I purchased it over a year ago, and I took it in a few weeks ago so they could take pictures and get authorization for getting it repaired. The repair was authorized and I’m supposed to bring it in this afternoon. I’m curious to see if they’ll end up also replacing mine.
I haven’t seen any other posts, so maybe not. I got the bag when it first came out. Maybe they have worked out the kinks. Good luck!

Do you know how LV repaired the tab separation? Unfortunately mine just did the same thing? Not sure how it even separates. I am five hours from the nearest lv so really sad by this. May I ask what LV said about this? Thank you. Any further issues after repair?
Sorry to hear that! I didn’t get my repaired and I didn’t select a new one. I was so turned off. LV did acknowledge that the bag was defective and I received a credit for another bag.
Oh ok. Good thing you bought with the original receipt. I bought mine a few months ago from the store. I will have to watch for this. I have the crossbody version also (it has the same tabs too) for about a year plus and it’s held up extremely well. I do notice that when I wear the hobo style the tabs stick out and sometimes catches on my shirt, it has happened a few times. I wonder this causes it?
Take it back to LV, say it’s a gift, and see what they will do for you. I know it’s a far drive but chances are they will help you as this shouldn’t be happening. Definitely not wear and tear. Go armed with pics of other duomos with this to show them it’s not a rare occurrence (in case they give u a hard time). Good luck!
