I love this thread as it's very realistic in that at some point "the average" Hermes fan is going to either want to slow down on H purchases because all HG wishes have been granted, taste has evolved or priorities have changed (birth of a child, college tuition for kids, buying bigger home, etc). Hence the reason why balance and pacing out purchases is very important to me. My relationship with SAs - be it Chanel, Hermes, Cartier et al is as normal and tamed as possible and I'd have it no other way . This is a win win for me and the SAs because it allows non-attachment for both of us and No hard feelings or "extracurricular" expectations. Did I mention that This is healthy for my bank account so win-win-win. Besides, knowing that I am very much unlikely to be any SAs biggest spender or high roller eases me of the pressure to nurture a "state of the art" relationship. Lol. I exceptionally love Remainsilly's "extent of relationship " comment above. Very witty and relatable

This is so important: it prevents the oft expressed feeling of being let-down when a SA fails to give a customer the kind of privileged service they have been hoping to cultivate.
