does this cocktail ring look too much for late twenties?

The BEST thing about rings like that is that if the stones are real, then they are amongst the hardest out there, so the stones are ideal for everyday wear. That is a cocktail/special occasions looking ring, but it can be dressed up or down and worn on either hand. Talk about princess Di.....

I mean, do you want your "everyday" sapphire to be bunko from like zales?! NO, you don't!

You want what you have to be your "go to" sapphire and diamond ring. "oh, lemme just pull out my "little" blue saphhire I adore..."....mmmm hmmm, Jewelry like that was made to be worn, not put up and forgotten about. I have a whole lockbox of those........wear that ring! and proudly.
agreed -- make it part of your individual, signature look

Please wear your beautiful ring!

Why should there be an age limit on wearing certain kinds of jewelry? I could understand that someone might not want to give that beautiful ring to a teenager to wear who might be careless and lose it, but that's the only reason I can think of why someone would be 'too young' for a beautiful piece of jewelry. Mostly older women wear certain things because most people have to get to my age (52) to be able to afford really significant jewelry (or this used to be the case before credit card debt) but if you are lucky enough to have a lovely piece when you are in your twenties that you acquired in such a nice way, PLEASE wear it.

I don't think it looks too much at all! I am 25 and wear rings like that all the time, even for everyday, although mine are costume. You can wear other fun jewelry or fun clothes with it to make it look younger.

I agree with everyone - wear it! I'm in the process of getting an emerald-cut topaz set in white gold to wear as a cocktail ring.

The style is vintage, but you're young, so when you wear it, the ring will look young, kwim?

Thank you, all ladies!!! your compliments make me full of confident.:yahoo:

Yslalice & Black jade, i'll keep your advices in ma mind

Bitten, thank you and the cocktail ring on your profile is so gorgeous.
that's exactly what I'm always looking for my next piece, emerald cut, three stones,
8 prongs for center stone. I look forward to see ur new topaz ring someday in this forum ;)

Well, I'm 26, and if someone gave that to me, I know I'd find a way to wear it. I definitely wouldn't go matchy matchy with it (sapphire earrings, bracelet, etc.), and instead let the ring be the focus. I'm sure it will look fabulous on you, so hurry up and wear it already! :p

When i got married, my mother in law gave me some jewelries and
I enjoys them sometimes i want to dress up.
Among them, but, I always hesitate to put on this sapphire ring on
my right hand. because it mayn be looked too much or old for my age.
now, I'm twenty-seven years old.
Usually, when I try it, I just wear a simple eternity band with dia on
my left hand.
I really love that deep blue color and I enjoy to accessorize myself
with jewelries but, I'm not sure about this ring.
Should I wait until my thirty?:wlae:

I would have no problem wearing that ring - even if I was 10! Wear it girl!!
