Does the clarity/color of diamonds less than 20pt affect sparkle?

Thanks! Did you find Whiteflash easy to deal with when making custom jewelry? Do you think it's important to get ideal cuts in pave jewelry and in something like a tennis bracelet?

BTW, I love the ring in your avatar! Is it an AVR by any chance?

Yes, it is an AVR! Thank you! Well, the DBTY pieces were easy to do custom, because I knew they had done them before. I generally stick to their normal offerings unless I want different settings, like for my studs. I had a tennis bracelet before finding WF, but I would love to have one of theirs! I just am so casual most of the time that I don't wear the one I have often, and that's the only reason I haven't gone ahead and gotten one. I have had their small huggie hoops before and I do think the diamond quality made a difference on those. I just wore my studs so much more that I passed the hoops on to a friend.

I know Roberto Coin makes a lot of different sizes and styles of diamond hoops, and I have seen Neiman Marcus have 25% off sales periodically. I think the diamonds they use may be SI1, but they are pretty decent quality. I'd rather have WF if the prices were close, but I think RC is good if you can get them on sale.

Thanks for your detailed reply. I have heard that Costco has some very good quality diamonds - might check them out for a tennis bracelet in the future. Haven't had the chance to drool over anything at Graff in person yet... have been meaning to but am afraid of falling in love with something unaffordable!

Good point about inflated specs from shady dealers. Will ask around a bit more locally for reputable jewelers in the diamond districts.
Good idea... there are tons of shops and independent jewelers at the Diamond District. Check out Aviani Jewelers in the Diamond District. I've purchased a few pieces from them about 20 years ago as gifts, and also got several different appraisals on each piece I purchased from them and every time the stones checks out as what the GIA certificate claims. Now I go to Graff, Tiffany & Co, Harry Winston, etc.... I don't have to verify on pieces from them because of the signed name recognition.

My E-ring is an AVC, would love to add an AVR to my collection one day. Nowadays they are coming out with the cuts in diamond stimulants so it's tempting just to get one of those, but I still love the depth and richness of real diamonds.

Will compare RC to WF pricewise and see. Not planning to purchase till next year so have some time for research

Awesome! I love AVC's so much, too! Good luck with your diamond hoops!
