Does it freak you out when someone touches your bag?

This is so funny. So glad it's not just me. I've had people bump into my LV and it drives me nuts. I think they did it on purpose

one time while I was at the movies, I placed my new watercolors bag on the seat next to me. A girl came in and sat in the seat next to my bag a placed her greasy popcorn bag up against my purse while she used 2 hands to look in her bag. I thought I would have a stroke. I grabbed my bag and handed her the popcorn. She said" Oh I only needed to leave it there for a second...Wow

I am really protective of my Galliera. Probably because I had to go through so much to get her fixed due to those rings. She still looks new now with everything fixed so I worry when people touch her.

People can touch if they're invited to touch. I was telling some co-workers about my XL Mahina and how big she is, so I showed it to them when we got back from lunch and they touched her and commented on how soft she is. That was OK because I was showing her to them and touching her was part of the "show and tell" process. However, I would be VERY upset if a total stranger wanted to touch any of my LV bags. My bags and my jewelry are off limits to touchy feely.

Sometimes, especially when I don't know if they have just handled food or something or if their hands are clean. Also, if they grab at it in an awkward way, since I continue to always handle my bags carefully, like with "kid gloves".

I'm so glad I'm not alone in this! I feel a little guilty that my bf knows well enough to never hold my purse with his hand (when we're shopping and I'm trying something on). Instead I'd hang my purse on his forearm, where it's covered by shirt sleeves haha. But I hate it when he'd jokingly poke at the canvas part or pretend he's gonna touch the vachetta part to piss me off.

I seriously wonder what I'd do if a friend or stranger spilled something on my bag... What the hell CAN I do by then if it actually stained??? I'd so freak =(. I try to walk further apart from people and be more aware of my surroundings, but you never know...

There was a man at church today that I know but don't know really well, with a gorgeous fur coat - in the past I would have 'petted' it but after reading this thread earlier I kept my hands to myself!

I've never touched anyone's bag though, except one friend's LV that she was showing me when I was trying to convince DH to buy me one, after she told me to try it on.

This has not happened to my purses but I never understand how people think it's ok to touch strangers or their possessions. Some of us think it's ok, some not but people should really ask first.

This is a good point, but I will never feel like it's OK for someone to touch my jewelry, bags or clothing. They can ask, I can say yes or no, but that better be where it ends.

My Galliera had issues with the rings causing black marks on the vachetta.

My rings came loose/apart. Not all of them, just two, but I just stopped carrying it because of that. I may get it fixed one day, but for now, she's sleeping in her bag.

can't stand when a random stranger just touches your things, no matter what they may be. i don't think anyone has tried to touch my purses, but people are always touching my pregnant belly and are always trying to touch my toddler daughter (especially when she was still an infant!). there's nothing wrong with admiring, but i think it's just plain rude to go and touch a strangers belongings!!

It bothers me when someone intentionally tries to squish my speedy ebene cearly knowning that its expensive bag....lol last night i caught a friend sitting basically on top of it I was outraged!
