Does cartier give a receipt for polishing service?

Would there be a receipt for this rapid shine?

Not necessarily. Rapid shine is a walk in service in many boutiques. You walk in, give the service person your bracelet, they polish it and you walk out. This is how the service works at the Madison Ave boutique.

Wanted to add - I would assume if the bracelet was left for the rapid shine service there would be some type of receipt but none is provided if you wait while the bracelet is being shined

For this I don't know. I only know they certainly do for polishing. Maybe the seller had the shine done instead? If there is a good return policy, you can have Cartier check it out. Good luck. :smile1:

OP- this sounds fishy. But maybe he meant the walk-in shine.

Sorry OP I'm hijacking here- Nikki when you say have Cartier checked it out, how exactly? Just ask SA is it authentic? I had bought a second handed love ring I'm pretty sure it's authentic but may just make sure next time I walk in.

No worries bougainvillier! I think you can gphave items authenticated at your local boutique. Wish I could with this pre- loved love bracelet but none in my state and no travel plans until next March

You can take it in to have it polished. They won't work on it if it isn't authentic. :smile1:

Thanks!! And good luck with your purchase! The anticipation and plotting are the most fun! Because the moment you got one on, you start to think about the next :)

For a quick clean, no receipt. For a polish, always a receipt. No Cartier will not work on a non authentic piece, but for a quick clean you're trusting the associates eye for authenticity which may not always be correct. Especially for Love since they've changed so many times.

This is good to know! I ended up buying that preowned love and shipped it off to Cartier NY last week for engraving. I know if it ends up not being authentic, Cartier won't do work on it so I'll have my answer... Fingers crossed I wasn't scammed! I don't think so! The bracelet is gorgeous and checks out in terms of grams of gold.

At Cartier and Tiffany's, I walk in, they inspect the jewelry, say they'll be right back..they clean my love ring, my e-ring n wedding band (Tiffany's) for about 10 minutes, come back and ai wear it and walk away. Been doing this for over 10 years NO RECEIPT, EVER.

What's done in the quick clean? Is it just a wipe down with a cloth or is there a bit of polishing/cleaning with an ultrasonic cleaner involved?
