That's really crazy and sounds completely opposite from what we were taught in training. However, we were told that every Bloomingdale's is different, and each store sells different merchandise, catering to a different community depending on the its location.

I'm not sure how that should differ each store's policy on price matching, but maybe that's what it is. :shrugs:

Bloomies also has at least 1 event/sale per month and their stuff gets marked down on clearance faster then other places, so 9 times out of 10 price matching isnt necessary anyway. :okay: My friend said shes never been asked to price match in the 2 years shes been there

Bloomies at Chesnut Hill do the price match with any store :-) If you want to do pricematch, you have to leave the phone number, SA name, item number...they will call to verify ( manager will make a call) and if it is lower , then they will sell it to you .

I did that twice. and I don't know any SA at Bloomies, I just walk in last June , and I saw Chloe Heloise in Prune color but full price, and Nordie was on sale at this time but this color was Sold out. So I asked if they do a PM.... And they did! So it's not hurt to ask

I also emailed, and was told that though Bloomingdale's Online will match competitor's prices, they will not match the price in store.

I ended up ordering the jacket anyway--and they sent me the wrong one!! I guess it wasn't meant to be. Oh well!~

I've definitely had Bloomies sending me the COMPLETELY wrong item. A lame rose silk top turns into cheap white cord pants!!! Wondering how that company runs their customer service...

lol!! the world will never know. i ordered a jacket and they sent me a PONCHO. WHAAAATTTT??!! if i wanted a poncho, i would have ordered one of those crazy snuggie blankets!

I chatted earlier to see if bloomingdales would price match jeans on 7 for all mankind's site. This is something that they used to do; price match reputable stores. Now they say they only price match Nordstroms, Neiman Marcus and Saks'. Gosh ... Macy's their own other store didn't even get included...

What do you guys think? I like stores that pricematch bc of longer return policies, better customer service, etc.. Oh yeah and the fact that I earn rewards when I use my store branded card.

I mean I guess it makes sense...I still don't like it though!

I went to Bloomingdales the other day for a price match with Nordstrom and they wouldn't honor it. The watch I wanted was sold out at that Nordstrom and there was another left in their system but at another store and I needed it that weekend. I showed them a pic of the watch online at the price and they said they had to call Nordstrom to confirm. Which the price was correct but since it wasn't available at that Nordstrom at the mall they would not match.

Wow this is why Bloomingdales are losing all their businesses. Nordstrom will pricematch anything.

Has anyone had any luck with getting Bloomies to price match lately. I just asked for a price match and they said no. IMO they have many competitors and for them not to price match to make a sale is redic!

I asked Bloomies to price match a pair of Ferragamo shoes which is 20% at Zappos a couple days ago. Thru live chat, I was told they don't price match Zappos but they offered me 20% off as a courtesy. So I guess it doesn't hurt to try :)
