Michael Kors Does anyone think that MK will ever get up there with LV?

The answer to the question is NO.

But personally I think LV is over-rated...for bags at that price,consumers aren't getting a higher quality that's expected.

MK bags on the other hand, affordable and quality is fine, if it broke in 2 yrs or so, it doesn't really matter as you aren't paying a higher price like a LV bag.

I completely agree with this. I would never pay two or three times as much as an MK bag costs for a canvas LV bag. I don't care if it's a luxury brand or not. LV doesn't mean anything more to me than Coach. You see both brands everywhere when you're out and about.

Maybe one day I'll own a leather LV, but I would never spend over $600 on a bag made of canvas when I could get a perfectly fine leather MK bag for half that price...or two or three MK bags for the price of one entry-level LV for that matter!

I, too, don't think MK will ever reach LV status, but that's completely fine by me! The style of MK's bags fits with my personality more than LV. I find LV to be plain.
