Ooooh, under $100? Wow! Usually I'd say items get marked down if they have too many to sell but who knows right?

I've been pretty lucky at finding bargains locally so...you never know...I might find this yellow bag yet!

Thank you! Sorry about the crappy quality, all that I have is my cell phone. I also apologize for them being so ginormous! I'm not that tech savy. I've tried cropping but it doesn't change the size; it only cuts up the pic. I have to change out my laptop keyboard tonite (old dog walked over it). You guys probably won't see me for WEEKS, LOL. The strap around the Gloria can be latched under the flap or over the flap, as I did in the mod shot. I like it both ways so I'm not sure how I will keep it. I also like it unlatched and kinda just hanging there too!

I'm liking this satchel too but I forget the name already. The colour is cosmic blue but it's hard to tell in this pic. I have not seen it irl though...only the hobo version in olive.

My friend had been drooling over the Liebeskind Gloria Satchel in Green on Free People. I went back and forth as to whether to take the plunge and purchase it for her because I wasn't familiar with the brand. Luckily, I was able to find this thread with reviews and great modeling shots, which convinced me to purchase the bag. I didn't choose to have the bag gift wrapped because I wasn't too crazy about Free People's idea of gift wrap - tissue paper and a muslin drawstring bag.

Well, I received the bag yesterday and it was packaged in a Free People plastic mailer. The bag is flat as a pancake. Is this how Liebeskind bags are normally packaged? Without stuffing, etc.? If not, I'm going to return it and order another color from Amazon. If so, any ideas on how can I make this bag look presentable as a gift? Any advice would be appreciated. TIA.

Thanks. I usually don't order from Free People but they had the Gloria in the color my friend wanted most - Green, so I wasn't sure if they sent me a returned item, which I refuse to give as a gift, or if this is the way Liebeskind packages and ships out bags directly from their factory/factories.

Free People sold out of the Gloria in Green the same day I received my order, so reordering a bag from them is no longer an option. But, if this is just the way Liebeskind packages their bags, ordering the Gloria in a different color from Amazon would be pointless.

I'm not sure if the tissue paper used to line gift boxes/stuff gift bags with would be substantial enough to give the bag some shape because I just bought a large package of the best quality tissue paper I could find to wrap a baby shower gift and it still wasn't very thick.

I'm thinking of getting one of those purse organizers in an attempt to fill out the bottom of the bag. Maybe a purse organizer combined with tissue paper would do the trick as far as gift presentation. Also, the purse organizer would make the bag ready to use immediately upon receipt. Does anyone have an idea of the brand and size of purse organizer that would be most appropriate for the Gloria? TIA.

^ i know all free people items from the website come packed like that (including bags i've ordered, one that was liebeskind). so i don't think it means it was necessarily returned. hope that helps

Mine came from Amazon packed flat. The dustbag was folded neatly and inside the bag; the bag was in a plastic bag and packed neatly in a box with brown paper to keep it from moving around. The bag was in absolute perfect condition-not a wrinkle or scratch on it. If I was giving one as a gift, I would stuff it with tissue, as indiaink suggested.

Thanks for the information about how Free People ships items in general and how Amazon shipped your Liebeskind Gloria in particular (BTW, the Gloria is gorgeous in Black).

I think I'm going to go with the Purse To Go brand purse organizer. I like the nice, neat appearance of the organizer, that it comes in a nice array of colors/prints and is available in four different sizes. However, jailnurse93 I'm going to take your and indiaink's advice and gift wrap the bag by stuffing it with tissue paper and placing it inside of a box. I'll gift wrap the purse organizer separately.

I'm so glad that I purchased the Liebeskind Gloria in Green for my friend. She asked me about its availability just yesterday. I told her that Free People sold out of the bag last Friday, but mentioned that Amazon has it in tons of other colors. However, she just looked kind of sad so I know that's the one she really wants. She has absolutely no idea that I've ordered it for her and it's in my possession, but she's had a really tough year and deserves it. Perfect!

I'll let you all know how it turns out.
