I'm new to LV. I love my Chanel Mini O Case but I've seen many Youtube videos of people raving about the Mini Pochette so I've always had it in the back of my mind. One day when I was in Saks, I saw LV had the Tahitienne Mini Pochette in stock and as a sucker for anything light pink, I took the plunge. Since this was the only one they had in stock and it was limited edition, I was in the "buy now, think later" kind of mindset.

It's been sitting in my closet for a few months now because I'm still not sure how I feel about it. At $365 + tax, it came out to $400 total. I know it's priced high because of the hardy coated canvas material but I'm still wondering if it's worth $400 for something that's not leather. I have a $75 Coach canvas pouch that can hold just as much as the mini pochette. My Chanel Mini O case is a beautiful lambskin leather for only about $100 more and it just feels so much more lux than canvas.

I'm thinking of selling it but I'm afraid I'll regret it as it's limited edition. Thoughts?

The mini pochette has its place in the lux bag collections. For me, it just got to a point where I didn't need to open my LV bag, and pull out an LV wallet, LV case, LV this, LV that. My life isn't as commercialized as my things dictate, so that's why I offloaded it. It's very cute though. Honestly, if the mono had a different color lining than *brown*, perhaps I'd purchase that. I'm not a fan of the DE mini pochette because the bright red just irritates me. Hopefully whatever "changes" LV is doing with its canvas line are good changes.

You're right - I think alot of the Youtube videos of people raving about the mini pochette is because they have everything LV! It's easy to get caught up in the whole lux bag/SLG game. This forum is probably the worse place to ask this question too lol. Thanks for your response :)

I never got the hype. I thought it was too small and I'm not into using the D rings in my bags. I have the toiletry 15 and find it more practical (wipable material) and much more modern and sleek. I have the 19 as well for my work bag which is a large tote. I'm 28 but started my LV collection when I was 22 and always found the pochette styles to be dated.

I bought mine when I bought my NF (before it came with a pouchette) to use inside the bag. At the time my iPhone fit and it was great. I could use it while out. Now I find it too small. It just sits in my drawer. TP 15 is better imo, unless u specifically need to use the D ring. If LV was going to retire anything, it should have been this instead of the PA which is such a great versatile piece.

It's not that I don't like it but I find the bigger pochette to be more useful than the mini pochette for my stuff personally. Many people here love it because it fits exactly what they need to carry in it. It is just a tad too small for me (unless I can regroup my stuff). As a pink lover myself, I know what you mean about not being able to resist the pretty Tahitienne MP. So you are not alone in feeling this way.

I don't have one, it's a bit small for me and I'd only want it to use in my bags so I don't like that it has a chain attached, although it is very cute. I use an epi leather toiletry pouch instead; it feels really durable and good quality (and the inside wipes clean easily).

Even though I like leather I would prefer canvas over lambskin because I've had a lambskin bag and wallet before and hated how they got wear so quickly.

If you're not loving your mini pochette maybe it would be better to sell and buy a leather TP15 or 19, or a pouch from a different brand because it's important to be happy with what you've got for your money.

I've always liked the look of mini pochette and I bought my first one (also the Tahitienne) a few months ago when they came out but sold it very soon afterwards.

I have to say that I was disappointed with the quality of the chain. It felt so light and cheap. I was also worried that the fabric of the zipper would get dirty (this happens easily with azur items).

But the main deal breaker was that I noticed that I did not really need this item. I had initially bought it to be used as a make up bag that would fit even in my smaller bags. I have the cosmetics bag in GM size that is too big to carry daily. But if I have a small bag with me (Alma BB or Gucci Disco) I usually only carry my lip balm and lip gloss and I really don't need a pochette to hold two make up items. If I use a bigger bag my few make up items can be in a pocket of a purse organizer. Again no pochette needed.

Maybe one day I may give MP another chance if it can prove to be a useful item for my lifestyle. I would probably choose the regular DE then. I've also liked the mini chain bags that Gucci's had. They've been more pricy but their chains have felt more substantial and of better quality.

I absolutely love this MP in digital blue..the inner lining is black microfiber and is my fav item among all..View attachment 3806849

I use it to store my camera [emoji4]
I missed out on this one. It's too die for! Lucky you scored one and I love the electric blue colour and microfibre lining. So Devine and luxurious!

I love the MP. It's the perfect small bag for when I don't want to carry a full sized bag. It holds keys, cards, key fob, lipstick. Perfect small size plus the gold chain adds a classy touch. It's also a good catch all to use inside larger bags.

Although, I must say I wouldn't keep it just because it's limited edition.

I hated the mini Pochette, it was the first item I purchased from LV after hearing everyone rave about it, and the first one I sold. It was too small to even be functional and pretty expensive for the size and utility (Or lack thereof). I don't consider myself a pack rat but I couldn't fit even half of what I need on a daily basis in that thing (asthma inhaler, lip gloss, hand lotion, etc). To each their own.
