I prefer unplated white gold. My wedding band (20+ years of nonstop wearing) is white gold with edging of yellow gold. When new, the white gold part had ridges engraved in it and over time the “ridges” have all been worn down to leave a glossy smooth “glowy” finish. I love that it’s a perfect metaphor for marriage. Over time the “rough edges” or “ridges” get worn down to reveal even more beauty!
