Does Anyone Like Cloth Bags?

I have three nylon Prada bags from way back in the day, and I love them. I should wear them more often. I also have a couple of cloth Coach bags which, ironically, I like to wear in the rain. Never had a problem with them soaking through.
I wouldn't say that I like them and go seeking them out. Like one of the Coach bags is in a scarf print. I loved the print which is why I bought it (secondhand). You will never catch me spending a bunch of money on one like Longchamp or Vera Bradley.

I really like the look of some jacquard bags, but I'm too scared of trashing them. I have an MZ Wallace bag that I adore. I like having a bag I can carry in the rain. And it's so light!

I am just getting there, studying the nylon bags market. My requirements are ballistic nylon and leather straps. Adding more nylon bags to my wardrobe because of lightweight and bright colors .
Got my first TUMI tote, five stars! Their bags are water resistant as says in the description.
Also looking at Lancaster Paris. Like quite a few of their bags, just wonder about the quality and look, never seen them in real life.
Had a beautiful Cole Haan nylon tote, but design was poor, bag did not hold the shape at all. Cloth was half nylon / half cotton, amazing feel and shine, really!
Vera, Kipling and Longchamp are not my cup of tea though. Prada is too expensive in my opinion.
Using Levi's canvas bags for grocery shopping, works wonderful. Bought them fior $12 at the outlet. They would make a nice beachbag too.

Essential, imo.
(with caveat that I dislike lv/coated canvas)
Mostly use for grubby travel.

As flowerboy said earlier, washing machine. Yes!

Plus, I cannot imagine floating an underground/cave river with designer leather look-@-me bags.

Happily, I receive many free cloth ones to destroy with adventures.
Synthetic fibers withstand my abuse best.

Oh, yes! washable! I buy cheap ebags brand nylon bags for traveling , and ,say , fishing , sea vacation with crazy humidity, or even to go to Home Depot. Don't want to scratch my bag researching redwood posts. Surprisingly, ebags brand bags are practically indestructible. One time I forgot my sunglasses in the side pocket when washing the bag in the washing machine, sunglasses survived beautifully. And it is all for funny money and lifetime warranty, go figure!

I own a few of the old Prada nylon bags which I still carry from time-to-time. I also have two Fendi monogram, three Gucci monogram, a nylon Michael Kors, a denim MK, and a Coach. I don't wear the nylon MK, but I keep it because it was my first MK designer purchase. All the others? I wear.
