Do you have any places where you need to put a coin in to unlock shopping carts?

You can also get "fake coins" that you can use instead of actual coins. I have been to some places that just hand them out, but I have a couple that were part of random conference marketing swag.

I have never seen this either. And this city is the first place I've seen that locks the wheels of carts if they reach certain lines in the parking lot. Man the first time it happened I was 1 parking space too far I was pissed trying to figure out why it wouldn't go to the trunk of my car. Someone was nice enough to tell me what it is. Glad no one was standing around filming it lol still getting use to Las Vegas a yr later. Lol

That's crazy about the shopping carts! I'm glad my local grocery stores load everything into your car for you. Groceries are put in big totes and sent outside through a conveyor belt. You drive through a pickup lane and an employee loads your car for you.

So why in the hell don't they make the range for those carts to include most, if not all of their parking lot? I can understand having the locking wheels if you go out of range a lot better than that coin thing though.

Btw, do all 4 of the wheels lock?

It's great, especially during my 3 pregnancies. Plus you never have to worry about a random shopping cart hitting your car in the parking lot. I just wish target would do the same thing!
Which is why I park way the heck out in no man's land, away from shopping carts AND other people's cars....and why I would not appreciate having to trek back to the store to return a buggy.

I used to do the same until about 3 years ago. Police caught a guy trying to steal the rims off of my car. Thankfully I had 2 separate types of wheel locks on my car so he got caught before he got even one off. People are crazy, stay safe! !

I always like to park away from the store but near a cart corral. This way I can put the cart in the right place, and am away from the lunatics who MUST park as close as possible!!

Yes they all lock and are basically stuck to the lines until someone collecting the carts uses a remote to unlock them. I tried dragging it to get it out of the way of other cars but I couldn't get it to move at all.

There has to be a way to get them beyond their designated area without the lock, because one of those kind magically appeared in our school parking lot earlier this year and it had the 'warning, this cart locks beyond the parking lot'. I had never seen that kind before, but I thought it was funny since it was miles from where it was supposed to be [emoji1]
