I'm guilty of this as well. I'm in the process of overhauling my collection, mainly the bags I love but do not carry. I have already listed a number of bags that don't make my heart skip a beat. The rest that I just can't seem to list are going through a trial- I'm going to carry them for a week to see if it's love or not. If not they will be sold. Same for SLGs.
One of my HG bags that I waited on forever is now listed for sale. I just don't love it as much as I thought. Maybe I just loved the chase!
I've come to the conclusion that there will always be another bag I will want, so I may as well only keep the bags I'm in love with & only buy bags I'm in love with. The impulsive purchases must stop!

I'm right where you are, Op. Some loved but rarely (if ever) used bags for me include my Carolines (red croc, teal and mushroom woven, purple gathered), espresso croc Amelia, and pewter woven Sophia. There is also a teal Crosby with tags still attached that I meant to wear but haven't. I plan to start selling soon, because though I love them, I can't justify keeping them! I also have a pink pearl Carrie that is likely on its way out- don't believe I've ever worn it!

My workhorses are black rhyder 33 and mink rhyder can't-recall-it's-size (the larger E-W). I wear these all the time. I just don't feel like switching out of these, and they're perfectly functional for me (with my 7 mo old baby).

Best of luck deciding what to do. I hate to say sell, but if you're not going to display it (use as wall art), or pet it every day like some low maintenance house cat (but without the litter box), I think selling is the way to go.

this is a tough one because so many of the really beautiful bags are a heavy leather. i have a Coach tall tatum that weights almost 5 pounds with nothing in it so i just use that for short shopping trips. it's a gorgeous bag and i will probably never part with it but i sure can't carry it around all day:)

I just said this on another thread... I need to stop impulse buying! I did refrain yesterday from buying a KS crossbody bag because I have my e/w duffle and I ordered the Janice bag from FOS so I really do not need another one. Ugh! Good for you for listing some bags. My goal this week is to list 3 bags.

Thank you lizmil. I could be wrong but I think I saw you post a lot in coach forum before. I still have a lot of my coach bags. But I'm loving a lot of the D&B bags lately. I think I'm going to keep the 4 dooneys for now :-) Maybe in the Fall I may get another Florentine, maybe :-).
I collect florentine, they are so beautiful. I enjoy my Coach and Dooney and Bourke bags.

I've run into quite a few that I absolutely love the look of, but never used, frequently because of weight. I made a personal rule last year as a New Year's resolution that I don't cut tags until I carry a bag, and either use it within 30 days of purchase, or I sell it or return it to the store I bought it from. It's hard, and it stinks, and I recently had to list a bunch that I'd never carried in over six months (like I said, it's hard). But this allows me to put the money from sales towards something I will use without feeling guilty or overwhelmed by the size of my collection.
Such a good idea to keep the tags on til you actually wear it! Thanks for the tip :)
