Would you be willing to give feedback on it? Is it as durable as they claim? Does the leather start peeling off?

I've heard horror stories on this very forum about handles on a Prada Saffiano with the leather peeling off.

I rather like the dark interior of the Saffiano and want to purchase that leather because of the structure and it boasts durability and resistance to rain and snow.

I just bought my first saffiano Hamilton last Thurs., so I can't speak to its durability over time, but the leather seems quite sturdy. I just bought the matching wallet today. The only thing I'm a little concerned about is creasing. Since the saffiano leather is stiffer, I'm hoping it won't permanently hold a crease if it accidentally gets folded. It is gorgeous, though, and I think it will hold its shape if you prefer a little more structured bag. I was happy to read that you've heard it has good resistance to rain and snow.

I love my saffiano hamiltons...no issues with them.
It doesn't look like it will peel...perhaps that Prada peeled because it got dried out?
It also could have been the sealant on the handles.

My experience is that the saffiano wallet will crease on the inside, but not the outside. That is normal wear for a wallet anyway.

I have one I don't use it 24/7 but with the amount of use that I've used it for I feel that the leather is great no signs of peeling or wear. It has softened up a bit so it's not as stiff as when I initially got it but it is still very structured(I got the e/w tote). I wouldn't hesitate to buy another, I wish the purple one that just came out with also included the e/w size I would snap it up in a heart beat.

PixieJenna, I see from one of the other posts that you just ordered the purple Hamilton E/W from Macy's. Good for you!:woohoo: I notice that the Macy's bag has the silver hardward while Bloomies has the gold hardward in the E/W satchel. I'm thinking about the gold hardware, since I was able to pick up the original Hamilton in purple with silver hardware. I'm still not 100% there, as there are a couple of other bags I really want for the winter! Please be sure to post pictures when your new bag arrives.

Shut up! I was thinking I wanted it in gold, I was thinking the one I saw at the MK store had gold but when I checked their website it looked like silver. I was so excited to see the e/w in purple I just snapped it up, not going to lie I'll probably order this one too but I can only keep one but I'll take a comparison shot before I send the one with hardware I want. I was thinking the purple with silver might look too similar to my Bal sgh raisin city.

I bought the purple n/s hamilton already, but thinking of purchasing the e/w as well (serious purple addiction here...) !!! Silver and Gold both look AWESOME!!!!!! Yes, please post pics!! ^___^v

Oh! Please take a pic of them together if you do that, because I can't decide on SHW or GHW but I LOVE purple and must have one of them! There is something so perfect about MK's gold....it's just so bright and not too yellow and not too light if that makes sense - that it just really draws my eye for some reason. (and I've always been mostly a silver or white gold person)

Too funny, glad I could help! When I was looking for the original purple Hamilton N/S, MK site only showed it with silver hardware, but I found it on the Neiman website w/ gold hardware, sold out, of course. So I thought to keep my eyes open when the new fall line was announced. It paid off this time.

Bloomies is sold out! Even though I saw it online when I went to put in the cart it said it wasn't available, so this morning I called their 800 # to see if I could order it and they were sold out of it, she also couldn't find it in any of the stores to have shipped too me. I'm so disappointed I'll have to keep my eye out to see I can find one with gold hardware down the line if they happen to restock.

What a bummer! I can't believe it, I did a couple of searches this evening and you are correct the purple w/ ghw is not available, even the wallet is sold out. I'll keep my eyes open for you. I still can't believe it. :rain:

Thanks, now that I can't get it I want it even more lol. I'll have to keep my eyes out and hopefully one will pop up.
