Does a Black Bag and Gold Hardware bag tacky?

I prefer gold hardware to silver on handbags. It just feels much more luxurious. However, I don’t like it when the gold hardware is too yellow and shiny.
The size of the hardware does make the Bal bag blingy, but it works for this style. It just depended whether you are comfortable to carry it. I prefer the classic brass or rose gold antiqued finish on the Balenciaga bags.

Hardware colors fade in and out of trend. For a while I only liked shw because I stopped wearing my yellow gold jewelry in favor of white gold.

Now gold is hot and "trendy" again - its on trend in home decor, electronics and of course fashion. So I would say that your bag is just fine for the trend and has a cool retro vibe with the larger hardware.

But at the end of the day. Unless we all commit to changing our bags at the whim of the fashion industry, we're going to have to buy and enjoy bags that we love (and style well) for years regardless of what others think.
