I'm right handed and wear my watch on my left. My hubby is left handed and wears his on right.

I think its mainly to do with when you had to wind watches up, you had to wear the watch on the opposite wrist to you one you used to wind it up with.

Maybe the people that wear the watch on their working wrist were ahead of their time and had advanced watches that you didn't have to wind up!

I think this may be the truth!!! especially the winding one !!!:smile1:

I wear my watch on my right wrist because I'm left-handed, but someone once told me there's some theory about the right wrist being better for watches. It sounds a bit strange to me, but then again, I have a friend who always ruins watches when she wears them on her left wrist--but if they're on her right wrist, they're fine.

What wrist do you wear your watch? Any reason why, if it's the right wrist? Just curious.

Cool! this thread is cool! I am lefthanded too so I NEED to wear my watch on my right hand...it feels so strange when I wear it on the my left hand....also, I have discovered that when I wear bangles, I can fit them easily on my left hand but I am just wearing a single bracelet/bangle it goes better on my right hand...and overall, bracelets look better on that hand and also my rings, ever since I was a little girl if I were to use a ring it would always feel better on my right hand..although I wear my wedding rings on my left...anyways, I love wearing my watch on my right, it makes me feel different...and I love being left handed!

When I used to wear watches, I would wear it on my left hand faced down. (It was more comfortable for me that way, and didn't scratch often when I wore it facing down in comparison to when it would face up.) I am right handed.

I'm right handed and wear my watch on my left wrist.

Did you know that some companies will manufacture watches specifically for lefties to wear on their right wrists? The crown is set on the opposite side.

I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only right handed/right wrist watch wearer around. I used to wear it face out on my left wrist, but switched to face in on the right wrist after I started university. (I found it easier to discreetly check the time during a boring lecture that way. :shame:)
