My ering is insured, and as much as i love my wedding band, we paid too little for it to be worth insuring. Ive worn mine around the world, and ive never felt unsafe.

We've travelled all over the world and I always wear my wedding ring no matter where I'm going. Engagement and Eternity rings depend on which country we're going to. Best to do some research on where you're going and make a judgement call on case by case basis.

Since I live in Chicago and Chicago's reputation for prevalent crime is well deserved, I make it a point to look like a slob when going through O'Hare Airport "security". My jewelry is packed on carry-on because you have to take off all metal for the security scan anyway and send it through the x-ray belt. Once through security I "de-slob" myself and put on my jewelry.
