Prior to those I bought myself a .75 cttw antique pair with octogon border. It took me 10 years to find those. My first pair of diamond studs were given to be when I was 17. They were .70 cttw round studs with terrible cut. My parents gave them to me as a Christmas gift.

I predominately wear the earrings my husband gave me. Once in a while I wear my antique pair. I almost never wear the pair my parents bought me.

I have a modest pair of diamond studs and I wear them everyday 24/7. The diamonds are on the smaller side but have such a large presence b/c of the excellent cut and quality - they sparkle like crazy. The only time I take them out is to clean them or change to another pair of earrings for formal events. I think diamond studs are a classic staple that will go with anything and brighten up your face.
