Do you wear false eyelashes? If so, how do you like them?

I will for sure. Thanks for the suggestion! However, I still might try falsies, just to see. I still hate the idea of putting on mascara on my days off. Would just love to put on eyelashes and go!
Oh I agree. If I could tolerate them, I would wear them myself & just use the FM for days I'm in a rush etc...
I guess I'm saying I would use them both for different occasions if I could.. Always nice to have options.

After years of extensions, I moved over to falsies...but not the traditional falsies. I could never apply the glue properly and it always ended up looking a hot mess. I have been using magnetic lashes for the past several months and I quite like it. The kit comes with strip lashes and liquid eyeliner. You apply the eyeliner and put the strip lashes on top. The eyeliner contains magnetic particles and the lashes have tiny magnets along the band and that's how the two adhere.

They are so much better than lash extensions IMO. There was so much maintenance involved when I had them. I'd wash them every day with a lash shampoo, blow dry on the cool setting, apply a sealant every other day and apply a lash serum to prevent damage to my natural lashes...and they would last about 4 weeks. On top of that, I could never rub my eyes. It just wasn't worth it any more. The only downside with magnetic lashes is the eyeliner is a little difficult to wash off. You will need some sort of oil ie. castor, almond etc...when you remove it. Other than that, they're awesome!

Those look beautiful on you. I tried some falsies last week and really liked it. My eyes were so dramatic it was fun. I had a tough time putting them on at first, but once I got them on, they looked beautiful.

That's the beauty of falsies...there are countless styles to choose from and you can go as long and dramatic and crazy as you like! My natural eyelashes are short and sparse and when I had extensions, my lash tech advised against the full, voluminous look I coveted as they would have damaged my natural lashes.

I love wearing falsies!! My favorites are ardell wispies. I wear them 99% of the time I choose to wear falsies - they’re super light, have a thin/flexible band, and look very flattering and natural. I use the black duo glue and never have issues.

I love the look of extensions, but i haven’t tried it bc I don’t think it’ll match my lifestyle. It’s easier for me to pop falsies on and off as needed.

I have the terrible habit of picking at my lash extensions after a few weeks so unless I'm travelling I wear fake eyelashes. After some practice they are really easy to apply! The duo glue is great :)

Surprisingly I like them. And not the cheap ones either. At first they felt like there was something heavy on top of my lashes, but that sensation quickly went away once I got used to wearing them.

I used to donate my time to a make-up school as a model as a favour to the make-up instructor because history, and she did regular men's grooming and Drag make-up tutorials on me. Here's me wearing three different styles of falsies...

Wow those are amazing on you!

I started wearing falsies and really like them a lot. I got used to applying them, and it's not as difficult as I thought. I definitely like the convenience a lot better than having the extensions. It was just too much maintenance with the extensions and I really missed rubbing my eyes, if you can believe that.

I'd love to know also! And which glue do you use? I tried falsies but had a really tough time with the glue working so I gave up.

Sorry about the re-post. Lashes from MAC. The adhesive was Duo.

The trick with latex based lash adhesives is to apply a very thin almost transparent coat of adhesive to the falsies, then you let the adhesive dry to a sticky or rather a "tacky" texture by waving the lahses back-and-forth (like a Polaroid picture) for about 10 seconds or so before appyling the strips or individuals to your lashes. Too much adhesive and the false lashes will never stick and will slide all over the place. HTH

Again I responded to the wrong member...
