I've been trying eyelash extensions with no luck. I just had them put on again (for the third time) this past Saturday, and again, my right eye was already thinning out and it didn't look right compared to my left eye, so I just went ahead and removed them (again).

Now, my natural eyelashes are so thin, I don't think I can even use an eyelash curler at this point. I've been thinking about using false eyelashes, but have never used them before. Are they easy to put on, or is it more of a pain than it's worth? I saw there are falsies that are magnetic that are used with an eyeliner as opposed to the glue? Which do you recommend?

I just feel at my age (57), that having my eyes a little more dramatic, would be so nice. I don't want my eyes to look like caterpillars, but want some sort of added volume. Mascara just doesn't do the trick, and I've tried many different kinds from Chanel, Lancome, Clinique, MAC to the drugstore cheapies.

Guess I just wanted to know your thoughts on falsies. Thanks!

What looks REALLY good is Lashify! Pretty easy to apply.
They are put one from below and that lets them look very, very natural. You can even "dose" them.

Are those false eyelashes? What do you mean they're put on from below?
Yes, they are. You can wear them for one occasion or for about a week, then they need a little "grooming" - takes about 15min with some practice.
They are "glued" from the under side of your lashes, not like other falsies from above, so there is no visible band or base.
I buy the shortest ones, I don't like the BIG Lashes. Sorry not the best pictures, but I guess you get an idea. This was my first try some years ago :biggrin:Screenshot_20221222-184615.pngScreenshot_20221222-184623.pngScreenshot_20221222-184627.pngScreenshot_20221222-184606.png

I tried them and just could not tolerate them.
Have you tried a fiber mascara? I am able to tolerate this as easily as regular mascara and it really helps thicken & lengthen the lashes. I was surprised at the results. Not trying to deter you from the false lashes but just suggest an alternative to try.

Oh your eyes look beautiful. I love this idea. Thank you, I'll research it.

I've never even heard of a fiber mascara. What does it do that's different from a regular mascara?

Thank you
What I forget to say: If applied correctly, you don't feel them. This is something that bothered me a lot with everything else I tried when it comes to lashes.
Now I know what you mean by dose. They look so natural on you. I am wanting to wear them on my days off when I don't wear any makeup other than lipstick, so I think having falsies it would really give me that "fresh" look.

It has tiny little fibers in it that bond to your lashes. It works amazingly well. You apply it just like regular mascara & the fibers aren't visible but wow they do make a huge difference, It comes in many brands at various price ranges. You could try an affordable brand to see if you like it. Until recently, I had very thick long lashes but a couple years ago that all changed. After being unable to tolerate the false lashes, I did research and found this alternative.

Where do you buy fiber mascara, like a place like Ulta?

Wonderful! I hope you like the result as much as I do. If you try it, please post back & let me know if you were pleased. :drinks:
I will for sure. Thanks for the suggestion! However, I still might try falsies, just to see. I still hate the idea of putting on mascara on my days off. Would just love to put on eyelashes and go!
