Do you travel with your VCA when doing a beach vacation?

This is just for me personally obviously and I understand others would disagree... I travel with various pieces on beach vacations, and I'll wear pieces to the pool at whatever resort we're at, but I would not wear anything at the actual beach, nor in the ocean. In the event we want to spend time at the beach, I keep everything in our hotel room safe.
Yes, this ^
I definitely wear pieces when going on beach vacations however I’m the weirdo because I can’t swim and I never ever under any circumstances get in the pool or ocean. I lounge on cabana and read the entire time.
If I were simply lounging by a pool, in theory I would have no problem wearing stuff, but I usually don’t remember to put it on

I don't wear any jewelry at the actual beach or pool (it stays in the hotel safe), but I found that this set worked well for dinners out, travel, etc.
same as above

+1 with @couturequeen , if I had solid gold hammered alhambra, I might be less careful, because the materials are more durable.

Going on a beach vaca, and I can’t decide if I should bring my VCA. I’m afraid it might get lost or stolen.

I’m thinking I could wear my YG 10 motif Alhambra necklace, and matching YG 5 motif bracelet. The YG is so low maintenance that I can sleep and shower and swim in them. But will they get damaged as I re-apply sunscreen all day? And swim in the pool and ocean?!
What do you guys do for travel?

For beach/pool vacations I don't wear anything expensive near the beach and/or pool. However, I would wear them afterwards to lunch, dinners or excursions away from the water. For me, it's not worth it to incur any damage or worse, lose one. You have all your life to wear and enjoy these pieces so a few days w/o wearing them isn't that bad.

We traveled to Costa Rica for spring break last year and I left my VCA at home. I wore a simple diamond pendant that I just kept on 24/7, David Yurman bracelets (left my Tiffanys at home), and one pair of earrings that I wore daily as well. I don't bring my more expensive pieces, especially in places where I don't want to be flashing expensive items (same goes for purses).

My question is why have nice jewelry if we can't wear it on vacation too? I took my VCA to Hawaii and wore it with my cute Dior Small book tote and some great designer flats to dinner each night. During the day, it all stayed in the safe, but I loved getting "dressed up" for dinner each evening. (Oh an my H wrap too.) Though here it sounds like a lot, it's all very subtle and reflects who I am. I love each piece so much and would feel naked without them on a beautiful tropical vacation.

I wear jewelry while on vacation. At the beach and if I am getting wet, I do not wear any jewelry. This is mainly because of the water/sand and all the scum & dirt that come along with it. The ocean is really nasty water.

However, if I am not getting in the water/sand and just enjoying the moment, I will wear jewelry.

Vacations are all about fun and enjoying life.
For me, part of that enjoyment is seeing my bling under a beautiful sky in a different part of the world. The sun shines differently. Staring at bling at sunset brings an ear to ear grin on my face. Then you have morning breakfast with the white sun beaming down. Bling looks different yet again!

I vote to bring your bling!:heart:
