do you think it is weird wearing 2 solitaires? What to do with one of them?

I would buy two sapphires and have the diamond reset in a three stone ring like the one in this photo. Then you could wear the ring as a right hand ring, or on your wedding finger. You could also wear it at the same time as your new solitaire and it wouldn't look strange at all. :)

OMG, this ring would even be more butiful than my new solitaire. I live this idea ;)

I have both mine still as solitaires. I keep the smaller one for when I start having shrinkage..you know when you want a bigger diamond. I wear my smaller one for a week and when I go back to my bigger one it looks HUGE and marvelous and I no longer have shrinkage issues..lol

That is one of the reason I kept the smaller one. Always to remember how it was before. And also because I have daughters.
It is actually already my 3rd up grade , BUT will be the last one (finger crossed).

Why not wear one of the solitaires on the middle finger of your right hand? I think that would look nice! I'd hesitate to turn a solitaire into a pendant. You could always save it for your daughter's wedding, or let her wear it as a right hand ring.

If you really want a pendant, I think you should buy a cz version of what you have in mind and then see if you like it. Could you live with the cz? Or no pendant at all? If you're in love, it might be worth setting the stone in a pendant.

Have you any contact with my husband? He actually told me today at lunch that I should get myself a CZ trial version. :D

By the way, do CZ bling as much as an average diamond?

I actually already have a set of diamond earings. A gift from my father for my wedding.

I do also already have a pendant but the diamond is so small on it that it doesn't count. You barely see it. And my daughter would be happy to have that one.

That sounds like the answer to me! And think what pleasure your daughter will get wearing it and your giving her such a special gift

it would be nice to save it for your daughter! but if you want to wear it, it would be pretty to have it set in a bezel setting that goes on a very thin chain that sits close around your neck.

though personally i would stack the 2 rings together. i like that look! but i know it's not for everyone.

I would not set a good quality solitaire in a pendant, it really doesn't do it justice. The best is probably to trade it in if you don't want it, or get a new setting and wear as a right hand ring. You could also just continue wearing both rings, one on each hand, nothing wrong with that. You could wear a different type of ring next to it on the middle finger or something just to change the look a little bit.

I tryed it, but it is honestly too much for me. And the stones are to close so they could damage esch other.

I agree with you. What actually anoyes me with the pendant is that I don't see the stone anymore. Only others will see it on me. It sounds stupid I know. But I like to look deep into it :girlsigh:. I actually wear them for my own pleasure.

Keep all 3 solitaires/ upgrades and just wear on different occasions. They were given to you by your husband. It might offend him if you sold them or turned them into other pieces of jewelry? I have 3 rolexes/ upgrades and just alternate which one I wear depending on the occasion.

I'd keep it as a solitaire. Actually, this is exactly what I did. I got another solitaire as a 25th anniversary present. I wear it sometimes on my engagement ring finger, but I actually still like the old one so much (and it goes better with my wedding band) that I usually wear that. I wear the new one as a RHR and I got two rings in a pawn shop that I stack with it and it looks very different from the other one.
That's why I like solitaires--you can make them look different according to your mood by stacking with other rings or using enhancers.
Pendants are nice, too--but I'm buying a ring from a pawnshop to make into a pendant. I have it on layaway. It's a ring with a heart-shaped diamond. I don't like heart shaped diamonds on my fingers but as a pendant, I think it will be very cool.
