do you think it is weird wearing 2 solitaires? What to do with one of them?

hi

I just got a new solitaire for our anniversary and I'm actually torn about what I am going to do with the old one :shrugs:. (I know that there are bigger problem in the world right now :shame:)

I hesitate between having the diamond re-set into a pendant or a non- solitaire like ring to wear on the right hand.
So first of all, what would you go for : a pendant or an other ring?

And, in the meantime would you walk around with a solitaire ring on each hand? I feel like having to take care of both of my hands to avoid shocks.
And I feel it is a little bit too much, don't know how to express the feeling.

Actually here in europe not everybody has a solitaire, so walking around with two of them could be felt like having fake jewelry or at the opposit as showing off.

So would you wear both of them or have one re set now?

I have 2 solitaires myself and would love to wear both of them at the same time, but I feel weird doing that as well... would love to hear others opinions on that too. I think making one a pendant is a great idea though.

I would choose for a pendant I guess.

I do have to solitaires as well, but I've never worn them together. It would feel a bit awkward. I actually visited my jeweler today to possibly upgrade my smaller solitaire and an eternity ring into one larger eternity ring.

I would buy two sapphires and have the diamond reset in a three stone ring like the one in this photo. Then you could wear the ring as a right hand ring, or on your wedding finger. You could also wear it at the same time as your new solitaire and it wouldn't look strange at all. :)

I have both mine still as solitaires. I keep the smaller one for when I start having shrinkage..you know when you want a bigger diamond. I wear my smaller one for a week and when I go back to my bigger one it looks HUGE and marvelous and I no longer have shrinkage issues..lol

Why not wear one of the solitaires on the middle finger of your right hand? I think that would look nice! I'd hesitate to turn a solitaire into a pendant. You could always save it for your daughter's wedding, or let her wear it as a right hand ring.

If you really want a pendant, I think you should buy a cz version of what you have in mind and then see if you like it. Could you live with the cz? Or no pendant at all? If you're in love, it might be worth setting the stone in a pendant.
