Do you tell your CA you buy preloved?

Did you purchase the MPA in store and was the strap present when you tried the bag? And you're right, with the money you spent on the item, you should get everything even if you don't plan on using one part or another

I love online ordering. Super convenient and (generally) stress free. Only thing though, stalking is time consuming

Alls well that ends well. She got a new MPA in today and I exchanged (for all parts of course ;)). Plus a nice bonus of MIF (I’m not picky about where it’s made but given LV is a French brand it’s always nice to have that location). I ordered the Tiny Backpack over the weekend bc she was off and I tried hard to wait for her to get in today but it just kept going out of stock so I went for it. I think she was disappointed. But I will try again with her - there’s always something new catching my eye :)

I was in the 5th Avenue store the other day buying a bag for a friend and working with a new SA. They assign an SA to you at the door these days. I was carrying a pochette Métis in empreinte noir that I had bought from fashionphile. He asked me where I had purchased the PM from (I don’t know why). I thought for a second and said that I got it at FP, a reseller, because it was MIF and its hard to find MIF in the US and I preferred MIF. He agreed that MIF was hard to find and didn’t skip a beat. He was training another SA who also didn’t say anything about it. It was probably a good training exercise for her! All the SAs I have worked with in the past have left LV and they assign you new ones at the door, so I doubt I will see him again. The SAs don’t even have business cards these days.

It wouldn’t bother me in the slightest. It’s got nothing to do with LV or any SA working there whether I buy pre-loved or not. And if challenged on it, which I’m sure would never happen, I would have no qualms whatsoever in telling them I find the quality and design of older items much more desirable than the majority of their current pieces. Wear and enjoy your pre-loved finds with pride!

I probably wouldn't mention it I don't see the need to. I probably wouldn't carry a piece that would might even cause me to have to explain if I would likely be asked.

But I personally don't buy preloved anything apart from houses. I am disappointed to miss some items but not enough to want someone else's.
