I’ve been trying to get a PSM for a few months - my CA was keeping an eye out for me. I finally just broke down and bought one preloved from FP bc I got tired of waiting (I LOVE it!! So happy). I need to go into the store next week to see her about something else. Should I not wear it in there? She knows I’ve been wanting it and then I’ll have to explain I got preloved (bc she won’t see it in my history). I feel
like a naughty child lol Do you let your CA know when you’ve gotten preloved items?

To begin with, how you spend your money is 100% up to you. On the other hand, I also understand why one doesn't want to upset or annoy their CA.

Before my CA quit LV, I tried to give her all the sales possible. However, there were also plenty of times when I ended up purchasing on LVdotcom because the things I wanted were restocked and I haven't had much luck trying to get them in store. My CA was genuinely happy for me every time I managed to get my hands on the items that I've been wanting, through her or otherwise.

One of the last things that I attempted to purchase from my CA was the Rouge Empreinte TP 26. She had one in store on the day they received a delivery but the sewing didn't meet my standards. I didn't buy it but still had her kept an eye out for another delivery. They never received another after the one that I rejected. Somehow I saw it being restocked on LVdotcom and I jumped on it. Subsequent to that, the item was discontinued. Had I felt guilty and didn't pull the trigger, I wouldn't have been able to buy it at all. I've been Googling every now and then but I haven't seen anyone selling it secondhand.

On the matter of buying preloved, she knew where I stand i.e. I'm very iffy about the origin and prior use or care of preloved items therefore I personally would not go there unless I really have to. The one item that I want and must get preloved, when the time comes, is the Empreinte Mazarine as it has been discontinued. My former CA knew about this and was super supportive. We've also discussed about my wanting to branch out to Hermes and even then, we'd both get giddy talking bags despite her knowing that clearly it's not her commission.

I've worn items that I didn't purchase through my CA to the store when I paid her a visit, on more than one occasion. We'd always talk about the items and she was always very keen on checking them out. We used to gush together all the time.

At the end of the day, I guess it depends on your CA's personality. Is your CA the understanding and supportive type or the opposite? With LV being so highly sought after and things are constantly sold out and/or not restocked, the CA should understand that this is business and nothing personal. And when the star aligns, you'd definitely give your CA the sales.

Nothing wrong with a white lie but you can also choose not to wear an item to the store. Do what makes you comfortable :ghi5:

Thank you, such good insight. Truthfully I don’t know her well and we’re in the middle of an issue she created (I purchased an MPA from her and she forgot to put the chain strap in with it and now is having a hard time finding a replacement. For some reason she couldn’t find it in the store and I have no idea why. Its frustrating she didn’t check to ensure all the parts were there when she wrapped it but I think she didn’t bc she’s new). I really want to support her but as you say there have been times when she couldn’t get something and it showed up on the website and I jumped on it knowing availability is limited for many items. I want to cultivate this relationship but I’m finding that I often have better luck procuring things on my own.

I was just curious how others handled preloved items when they also have a CA - the CA obviously can see what items have been purchased directly from LV. I suppose they might think those not in the account were received as gifts.

I've worn things into the store, or just flat out told my sales associate that I found it so he could take it off the list I have. I just didn't want an phone call telling me that sometime was in, and have to say then that I didn't need it.

I'll be honest, like you, I've had better luck buying from LVdotcom by stalking    Now that my CA has quit, I guess I'm a free agent and I don't have to worry too much about who I purchase from.

On a lighter note, I'm sorry that your CA left out the chain strap of your MPA when packaging your purchase. If she could order a replacement for you at no cost, then that should be done. Otherwise, you might want to consider returning the item if the store manager would allow it. My former CA annoyed me once when she didn't leave the little paper tags inside my DE Mini Pochette Accessoires when I bought it from her :giggle: So yeah, the strap is absolutely no excuse.

What’s so curious to me is that they couldn’t find it in the store at all. Made me wonder if they’d purposefully sold the bag without it. I’ll never use it but of course for the price we pay for these things I want everything that should come with it. Supposedly there is a repair order in but no ETA. I’ve decided I’m going to give it the next few days then if it doesn’t get resolved I’ll make a return. It’s annoying because I’ve seen the MPA come ATB several times since and I could have just purchased it without all this hassle. Plus I know they’ve had at least one (complete one ;-)) in the store since my purchase (I saw on IG).

Honestly every time I’ve used a CA I haven’t had the greatest experience. I think I may just stick to ordering online from here on out.

Did you purchase the MPA in store and was the strap present when you tried the bag? And you're right, with the money you spent on the item, you should get everything even if you don't plan on using one part or another

I love online ordering. Super convenient and (generally) stress free. Only thing though, stalking is time consuming

I did purchase in store. I didn’t see the strap when she showed me the bag. Honestly, I was too focused on checking over the other parts. On the drive home I remembered I didn’t see it but assumed she’d put it in there when she wrapped it. But sure enough when I unboxed it wasn’t there. Such a mess. And so disappointing.
