Do you swim with your love bracelet?

Question to the regular swimmers. Do you take off your bracelet? Do you cover it with a wrist band? Or do you just swim with it? And does it lose its shine if so?
I like swimming once or twice a week and I find it a pain to take off the bracelet every time so I end up not wearing it during the summer months!
Thanks for sharing your experience !
I do everything with my Love Bracelet on... everything... been that way for a few decades now and no problems whatsoever

I surf with my Love Bracelet on, not chlorine but salt water. Before the pandemic, 2-3 times a week. When I have my wetsuit on the salt water place running the neoprene makes my bracelet incredibly shiny, I love it!!

I recently read a featured article by an expert jeweler. She stated, "Avoid chlorine, as it can weaken the structure of gold and lead to breakage."

I started to google a bit and found the following article below along with many others, which really has me making a mental note to remove my gold jewelry now when in the pool! I never realized how damaging chlorine could be to gold!! Yikes!

Also, there's been some debate on the forum as to why sometimes the PG LOVE turns to YG on some individuals over time. It made me wonder if chlorine or maybe some other chemicals that wearers may come into contact with may be the cause by breaking down the other metals that help to form the PG (i.e. copper, silver, or zinc), making the PG turn to YG. It's certainly a thought.

Thank you! I guess will swim with it and see . By the way I’ve had mine for 8 years now and recently passed by the Cartier store and had it cleaned. It came back like new! I would definitely recommend doing that from time to time. They didn’t polish it, just cleaning
Did you have two pay for the cleaning?
