Do you sell bags you haven’t used?

I have sold many in the past usually to fund other bag purchases but I did have a short period of unemployment where I sold off bags I liked including a limited edition neverful that I still regret. I didn't desperately need the money at the time it was just a precaution so I didn't need to sell them.

So now we are in a better financial position I have rebought a few bags I sold and bought a few bags I've always wanted that aren't as popular anymore. I doubt I'll sell any again, just store them because I will go through phases and come back to them. I don't need to sell them anymore so I won't that way I won't regret it.

Just make sure you definitely won't use them again. I have a yellow Vernis zippy wallet that I never used. I bought a monogram zippy wallet at the same time so I never used the Vernis. I sent pics of it to Fashionphile thinking I'd just sell it. But they only offered me $100 for it, so I just kept it instead. I started using it a few weeks ago and I am so glad. Now I absolutely love it! I love how the yellow complements the light brown from the monogram canvas. I'm not a matchy matchy person, so I'm glad I ended up keeping it.

I have one bag that I barely use. I haven’t used it in three years. For those that buy and sell, how do you decide when to sell? I’ve only sold one other bag. I get worried about regret. But then I think, I haven’t used it in so long, why keep it?
I’ve considered due to non-use, figuring I would purchase something more useful for me.

I have sold a couple that I didn’t use for sometime and feel that they didn’t fit me anymore. Really hard to let them go, but in the end I just don’t need them. No feeling ❤️ left, I may say.

When I fell out of love with a bag, off it goes. So far zero regrets. In the past, I’ve been quick to purchase bags that’s the next it thing. These days I’m only buying bags that I know I will use not because it’s shiny and all over insta. For example the latest Virgil bags with neon pink/ blue and neon green/ blue gradients. They sure look pretty. But I know I would never carry those colors without feeling so out of place. In the past I would have gotten a few just because. Now I don’t bother because I know I’ll regret buying them and loose tons of money when I let them go. With the pandemic, I also have to reconsider what bags is actually useful… ie. Bags that need to be large enough for me to carry couple disposable masks, hand sanitizer gel, plus a wallet etc. Sure pandemic won’t be around forever but I’m positive that by the time it ends, other new shiny bags will have my attention. There is no need to constantly looking back. I still keep the bags I love. But the ones I like that no longer serve its purpose, I have no problem get rid of them ASAP even if I loose a lot of money. Dust collecting bags are just that: dust collecting container.

I have a good Lv collection that I accumulated over a decade now but I don’t reach for many of the bags. It was hard for me but I chose to let some of them go. Recently sold one off too. Hoping that I will continue to do that so I can fund new purchases

Not currently. Before I started buying luxury I bought a ton of Coach bags (50+) and used them enough to know which bags work for me, and what I like and don’t like in a bag. When I started buying luxury in 2019 I made sure to only buy bags I know work well for me. I have a decently large collection now, but are all bags I enjoy. I’ve been tempted to get something bc it’s classic, like the Alma bb for example; but I had a bag very similar prior and know I can’t stand straps that attach to the bag the way it is on that bag. So I won’t buy it. If I feel tempted by a trend that I’m unsure of (like the new silver bags) I just buy the Coach version.

Personally Im all about selling what I don't use. Ive sold Items that while I took pictures of them to sell them I realized how much I loved them and sold them anyway because even though love the design. if I don't use it what's the point? I have never regretted selling an Item. I also usually take the proceeds and buy something else. That portably helps too ;);)
