Do you prefer gold or silver hardware on your bags?

I prefer silver all the way, pewter a close second. Brass looks nice depending on the bag. I can't stand gold.

Another vote for silver! I only wish there were more bags with it available~ The only non-silver hardware bags I have are my Balenciaga's. Praying they'll be released with new silver hw soon.

My first instinct was to say "silver" but it really depends on each bag. I personally don't wear any yellow gold so I prefer silver tones, but I do have bags with gold HW. I think if the gold is too yellow, it looks cheap.

Totally agree with SuLi - I used to be very strict and buy silver HW bags only. Now I have several bags with patina gold - brass HW (mulberries mostly) which I love and use more than the silver HW ones and today I bummed around town and went into a Francesco Biasia shop and there were truly lovely bags with shiny gold HW. I don´t need another bag right now, but gold HW surely wouldn´t stop me buying a bag now.

I prefer silver mainly because all my jewelery is silver and I tend to dress very casual. That being said, I have a few bags with gold hardware that I think looks great on the bag.

Definitely silver. In fact no matter how much I liked a bag, if it had gold on it, I couldn't use it. I've never been a fan of yellow gold.
All my jewellery is either silver or white gold too

I am glad it isn't just me. It saves me a fortune as bags seem more often to have gold/brass hardware and that isn't my preference.

Me too! I looooovvvvvvvvve gold hardware, I've never been to crazy about silver but it does depend on the bag.
