Do you pay sticker price?

Is this only at independent jewelry stores? Or can you get discounts on full priced items at stores like Saks, Neimans, DY, Cartier, & etc.?

I would like to know the answer to that too.

For instance, 1 of the kind estate jewelries are hard to compare prices and I feel that Saks/NM always overcharged on these special pieces. I even heard that some of the old cut diamonds aren’t worth as much compare to those of the modern cut. The Edwardian and Deco pieces available offer by these stores are exquisites and expensive! I am a sucker for certain types of old designs and have not had luck find similar one at less expensive price elsewhere! A lot of the reproduction pieces aren’t that finely made.
